Has anyone managed to get this installed? It seems there's a prerequisite to have Windows 10 Anniversary installed, but my installation of that always crashes at 35% with no error message or warning to indicate why. I'm guessing some hardware is incompatible or something or maybe I need to do a full re-install... Anyway... has anyone got it? Is it more customisable than Halo 5's in-built Forge mode on X-one?
Is it more customizable? No, not really. Some things are easier to do (selecting colors, mass selecting pieces, navigating menus), but overall there's not much difference. Regarding your problems with downloading, it IS necessary to have Windows 10 Anniversary installed. Here's the list of minimum requirements: Windows 10 Anniversary Edition DirectX 12 intel Core i5 at 2.3Ghz or AMD equivalent GeForce 650 Ti 2GB VRAM 8GB RAM HDD 40GB DirectX has been an issue for some people. I know personally that my system specs said I met the min requirements, but then when I did some research I realized that it wasn't even possible for my machine to run DirectX 12 (even though it said it was running it, lol). I ended up buying a new PC. Hopefully someone who knows far more than I do about computers can help you out or offer some advice.
I believe he was saying that his Anniversary install was crashing. I would suggest checking the microsoft support site for the minimum requirements for that. And filing a support query to see if anyone else has had that issue.
Full PC specs below... I don't see it being an issue with minimum requirements, it's just puzzling how my anniversary edition crashes on install but provides no errors. I was hoping someone else might have had the issue and knew how to work around it. Nevermind... it seems I am destined not to be able to use H5F on PC.
