That new teaser looked beyond the realm of pants-on-head retarded.

Are we really all gonna just make our decision based on someone's word with nothing to back it up? Nothing's been confirmed or denied about forge yet.

    Obviously not.

But I'm already so soured on the whole xbox 1 as well as the current state of Halo 4 that I am susceptible to jump to conclusions. The reasons are plentiful.

    Confirmed. New Armour Ability.
Snow Cloak-- Does absolutely nothing usefull to the user but makes you look badass when walking around in snow... Even though you have armour.

Lol, I'd love to see a screenshot of that supposed tweet before I believe Forge is gone.

Also, 343 has confirmed multiplayer will not be in the next Halo.

Source? Is this bull or is this a side game?

I'd find it very unlikely to see Forge removed in Halo 5.
I mean, what would even be the point of removing it now after putting time and effort into it in Halo 4, the game that functions as the start of the 2nd trilogy? Doesn't really make sense, if you ask me.

But in fact, I don't believe they would ever remove it. It's become too much of a significant part of Halo.

seeing as the L and O have always looked that way I think it is a silly reasoning. It is pretty damn obvious it is 5, and you dont really need to make justifications seein as it sure as ****ing hell aint halo 2 anniversary.

cluck, that is what is known as selection bias. There also appears to be an E on the top left cornet, and one of the clouds could be a 3. In the bottom left the gaps in the clouds look like a 2. So Halo 2 is announced. Or the space where the clouds were cut off on the bottom right could be a 1, so halo anniversary anniversary. There is also a female in the middle top, so it could be cortana.

You're looking at clouds, coming up with an image and deciding that it is fact.

    Selection bias, move on.

Alright, time for a little speculation. So, we know the thing that chief was holding onto during the scene was cortana, and I personally don't think he would have it in his hand everywhere he goes, so, this desert area is related to cortana in some way. Do you guys think maybe this desert in on earth? and this is where Halsey is? Is he bringing cortana to Halsey? Do you guys think Jun will also be in this halo, fighting alongside chief, possibly being the co-op player, like arbiter was in H3?

Personally, I think the whole game is going to play out as something of an elegy to Cortana. Like his motivation to push forward to his goal which I'm assuming at this point is killing the returned Didact or even perhaps the reassembled Mendicant Bias.
    No.
Those jagged peaks don't hint at Earth like features at all. And for further clarification there is a very close celestial body in the background so unless something crazy happened to our Galaxy then I'd say we're definitely not on Earth.
None of this stuff I really care to speculate on. Halsey is clearly going to play a larger part of the series later on. My guess is the eventual resurrection of Cortana in the last game (of this trilogy) which has been hinted at in Halo 4. I doubt Jun nor the Arbiter will return for various reasons, but more importantly that I think the focus of this game is going to be around Chief's isolation. I mean he's romping through a desert amidst a sandstorm carrying nothing (not even a gun it seems) but the remnants of his only friend.
Something 343 has done well with the franchise is setting up the atmosphere, and I definitely like the direction their taking the overall mood of the game.

Was talking about this with a friend that reads the books apparently, and he thinks that chief is looking for Mendicant Bias (a forerunner AI), but from what I remember, that AI was already dead by the time of Halo 3. Though I don't think it a stretch to say Chief is probably looking for a forerunner AI of some sort. That said, I do think he is on earth, considering his recent record of insubordination against Captain Del Rio, and I doubt they give spartans- even him, that much free reign on where they go.

Edit: just read the post above, mendicant bias reassembles? Maybe I need to read these books.

    Well...
In Silentium, the Iso-Didact speaks his name which deactivates him. He is disassembled on one of the Arks and his parts are shipped to different parts of the galaxy. It's easy to assume that in the more recent Flood infestations they may have found and reassembled him.
And like I said in my previous post, I can't see how that landscape conveys Earth at all.
Those angular peaks and the very close red planet/moon in the background both speak non-Earth to me.
If anything, I'd see the planet being more akin to Reach.
If I remember correctly, Reach had a sister planet that had a red aura and the angled, jagged peaks in one of the DLC Firefight maps.
That being said, I don't think it's Reach. I'm just saying I'm like 80% sure that what we see in the teaser isn't Earth.

Well, if not earth, its probably another colonized planet and not a new installation.
