UPDATE: Added that sexy new map Exile that was previewed at PAX. Also added one picture extra for the ones I could find.
The Tank on Exile looked good, the shot seemed a bit less powerful than reach, or at least slower moving. The map itself looked amazing, I hope we have a top down shot soon.
Personally i think exile is going to be a great map for stuff like Assult and CTF. I am really unsure about the tank and banshee though... it seems like too much. Long bow looks like one that is meant for BTB but can easily pull off as 4v4 map for the playlists. Adrift, i actually like. i have played games on "premakes" and it seems like the combat is fine. The asthetics (real map) look very space stationess, sharp and dirty and i like the robot in the center. Adrift will make a pretty good FFA map when it comes out, and if Halo 4 goes MLG, i can see this one in the playlist. Haven is like a super Zealot on crack with more snipers. i dont like it too much. --Stuff i wanna see-- A risky map, like Damnation or Terminal And some small maps for 2v2 (even if its just one)... Maybe combine into 1
I wouldn't get my hopes up for an urban environment, seeing as how the game takes place on Requiem, not Earth or a human colony like Reach.
UPDATE: New map Solace up, however it lacks decent imagery on the interwebs so the one I put will have to suffice for now.
You know that War Games is a simulation for Spartan IVs and isn't actually on a planet, right? It's on Infinity and it simulates combat environments for training.

The greatest problem I see with the maps is the palettes. They are the same as Forge World, but with new skins. But with these new skins they lose their pristine look. they look dirty and eroded, which is contrary to the concept that forerunner structures stand through time without erosion. As a side affect to the coli walls looking like wall panels, they no longer look very credible as flooring. Finally, when you use the palette in Ravine, they stick out like a sore thumb against the shiny silver forerunner structure that permeates the entire canvas. For Ravine, 343i should have developed skins that were metallic shiny like the structure that was present, much like the few custom shiny blocks in the high noon canvas in the Reach anniversary map pack.
