    Title of the thread is silly. This is how most GoTY editions work.

    Still, wasn't expecting to see this at all. Good for whoever hasn't got around to trying the game yet. (Y)

    I don't even understand why Halo 4 was voted GOTY. Maybe art direction, but not much else... besides a shack in the woods, perhaps.

    It's an insult to the other games made this year IMO..

    Isn't that just some arbitrary selection by Microsoft? Probably has a lot more to do with a game they feel they can wring more dollars out of than any quality thing.

    Technically, as long as any publication or third party says the game is their "game of the year" then Microsoft has the opportunity to put that on a box. That's how multiple "game of the year" games come out in the same year.

    Quick, I voted Tic Tac Toe game of the year in my apartment. I just need to do a blog write up about it and I can sell Tic Tac Toe GOTY edition with squares and octagons instead of circles and Xs.

    ^That's how I feel about H4 getting GOTY. Exaggerated, of course.
