Also when he grabbed the "innie" the hand plate was defiantly that of a spartan, and if that was Fred as said above then he is on " blue team" just like chief, it may or may not be chief though.

Chiefs helmet looks like mark VI, which wouldn't make sence due to it being 30 years before chief gets mark VI lol

The things I say after 48 hours without sleep. At the time I wrote this I thought chief was the only spartan at the time for some reason. I don't think it will matter in the story what spartan it is, but if that video clip comes into play again it will probably turn out to be chief.

    Fuaarrrkk that was awesome!

Chief's entrance coulda been executed slightly better, maybe with a pop of the Elites shields or something, but other than that, WHERES THE NEXT EPISODE RAWR!

One thing that bothered me was the weapon props. Open spoiler to see why...
I know this isn't a big deal, but when Chief was shooting the magnum towards the end, the slide wasn't moving. That made the weapon feel so fake.
Don't get me wrong, great series so far, but that little thing bothered me.

To make actual mechanically moving movie props ups the production costs significantly. Then you have to factor in wear and tear and props breaking.

Yes, but I thought this production was high-budget, couldn't they afford one measly prop?

when chief kills that elite i cheered like a little girl
and also when he protects that noob from the needle rifle shot
and also when he headshots all the covenant with the pistol near the end

holy ****in balls that was as epic as it is supposed to be

...but it's not "1 measly prop". It's multiple copies of that 1 prop plus multiple copies of any other prop since presumably there wouldn't just be 1 gun that everyone uses (unlike the 1 warthog).

"High-budget" is relative. It is high budget for a web series, about average budget for a sci-fi television show, and very low budget for almost any Hollywood movie now-a-days.

Basically it comes down to cost effectiveness. Would the 10 seconds that magnum was featured in that episode be improved in any way for the cost it would take to make a completely realistic, functioning magnum stand-in. Or is it the fact that the drama and action of that scene would not be any more enhanced had the "slide" moved or not?

If a production has infinite money and if these sort of decisions translated directly to the number of people viewing it, sure I'm sure all the suits would be made out of metal, the weapons would be real weapons (minus real bullets), and we'd have Bruce Willis playing Chief and Samuel Jackson playing General Black (get it).

one thing that i didn't really understand was
how chief was taking all that covie fire. i thought plasma could burn through the suit, and needles could pierce it in at least some spots
but whatever, it was still awesome
