whoa, man totally uncalled for. I hope it is soon. Considering it was initially supposed be in December, I don't expect fileshares to be down for very long after new years
I'm getting a bit disappointed by the way 343 handles the online part of the game. fileshares not working, and lately I've been experiencing some serious lag in some games, whereas that didn't happen some weeks ago. also what is the reason why we sometimes get interrupted in the middle of a game?
No. It's not the backup servers. They only have the original playlists that were present at launch, so no Crimson or Team Regicide. The CTF Challenge playlist is the one at the top, it's just highlighted so it looks like a white bar. Look closely to the right of said white bar and you can see a zero.
Complex should be removed from every playlist. That's how goddamn bad the splitscreen lag is. Not to mention there's lag without split....wtf. Yay for testing!
you are talking about the lag or the framerate? I was surprised, you can even see it in cinema mode. like I'm running, suddenly I can't move anymore for like 5-10s, and then I teleport to the other end of haven... or there is that guy who is stuck against a wall with his ghost. I start shooting at him, and the guy teleports and get a splatter kill on me...
Complex isn't as bad as either Vortex or Shatter, on either split or single. I agree that it's bad considering that it's smaller than either of those, but this is a real problem with the maps in general. I find it pretty concerning tbh, because CA/343 obviously think this is acceptable and not enough to negatively impact upon gameplay. Frankly they should be very aware that this isn't the case, and shouldn't be releasing maps which suffer like this.
yeah, shatter is probably the worst of the splitscreen lag maps from my experience it was pretty much unplayable. my buddy and i will be playing on splitscreen and vote for it because we forgot that it lags and then the game starts and we're like oh ****, thats right... BLAH. i'd definitely be interested in hearing a behind-the-scenes explanation of why this choice was made. i have a few theories but i'd like to know the real story.
Ah. I got one or two games on Shatter during the free DLC thing, and I've actually never played on Vortex, partially because I don't normally play Big Team in Matchmaking. After seeing the size of "4v4" maps, I just didn't want to.
I have found lag on meltdown at friends houses a few times. And a little on Adrift's lift's. But I can't say for vortex, cause no one seems to like that map when I play in MM and it never gets voted for.
I've never gotten any single screen lag on Vortex. Vortex is one of my favorite maps for vehicular play, and overall I like it, but the top center is really camp-able and frustrating for the team that's not in it. If that area was better it would be more enjoyable, but I still like it and vote for it a lot. Better than Ragnarok or Meltdown in my opinion.
Knew this would get out eventually. Hushed Behemoth showed me this back when they were starting their Foundry Remake.
Whilst I agree with the general glitchy complaints, this kind of glitch isn't a big deal. MP glitches are bad, and Halo 4 has plenty, but forge glitches are fine as long as they don't undo your work or hinder you in any way.
****. I was the only one out of almost all my friends who knew this and now everyone will know. If 343i tries to cover some simple DLC mistake, then maybe they can just accidentally delete that post? I don't see why they would need to patch this, like Pegasi said above. It doesn't stop us from doing what we want.
