Their "30 minutes" turned into 2 and a half hours for an update on the situation. I get that this thing happens with season passes sometimes but what really frustrates me is the lack of communication with the community. Xbox Support took 4 hours to respond to and acknowledge the problem and 343i took about 6. What gets me is that this isn't 343's first rodeo either. Sure Halo Anniversary piggybacked off of Reach's core mechanics, but 343 still managed the Halo servers for a good while before Halo 4 and there are STILL all of these issues. On another note, are people who just have the Season Pass affected by this or is it only people who bought LE who are having this problem?

This plus the fileshare thing really annoys me. This is the kind of thing that someone in charge of something should get fired over.
It looks like more places are getting it. I'd hazard a guess that it should be working for everyone within an hour or so. Regardless of that, it's now 6am for me. I've waited long enough, I'm just going to sleep.
I refuse to buy a map pack this early. At least it isn't as bad as Mass Effect 3 with launch day DLC, but DLC should be used to supplement gameplay when its gotten stale and boring after about half a year of launch. Oh wait.... it already has. Also why would Micro$oft basically force 343 to **** out another Halo game when they're developing a new xbox and releasing it next year? Halo 4 could've gone through open beta this year and then be released on the next-gen console next year, then the train-wreck of a launch could've been avoided. I totally understand now why Bungie wanted to leave Micro$oft. Their baby's been manhandled and warped into a generic twitch shooter cash cow instead of a definitive mark in the arena shooter field. SUPER-EPIC EDIT : I just Dl'd Crimson Map Pack for free... it appears 343's fix for season pass owners works for any user. Just go into Xbox Marketplace from the ingame menu of Halo 4. You can find a link to Crimson Map Pack for free, don't know how long it'll be up for though.
Confirmed. Load up war games, then select the crimson map pack playlist. A popup will appear asking if you want to be redirected to the marketplace. Click yes, and the map pack will appear as an available download for 0 ms points.
Goddamn it, that's not working for me.. it is redirecting me to the same window, with 800 ms points download. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?
im currently downloading it from the main menu of H4, without having to exit to marketplace. that sucks that it didnt come out for Map Passers at the same time that it did for others, pretty frustrating i can imagine. but hey, i was in class so it ended up not mattering to me.
