I feel like, despite the fact that this game is 5 years in the making, they still managed to rush it.
You mentioned before that forge was somehow "epic." 95% of the news about it I would classify as either "expected" or "disappointing," so in what way is it epic? Just the new lighting? Are any of the new objects really cool?
I wish someone could confirm that we can or cannot set Flood to have a weapon other than the claw/reskinned sword.
This weekend is basically going to be torturous for me. Waiting for Halo and I'm waiting to hear about a house on Monday. I'm so antsy right now. I hadn't thought about internet if I move. I may lose my mind!
after watching soooo many gameplay videos... one of the only things i do not like is the constant talking from the announcer. it really got to me when i watched the oddball video on adrift that was posted a little ways back, how he is basically saying something every couple seconds. "ball holder" "ball master" etc etc etc... i am fine with the ridiculous amount of extra medals there, but i dont necessarily want to hear about every single one of them from the announcer. "distraction" is another one that made me go 'wtf?' next thing you know, he's gonna be shouting out "you walked forward" or "JUMPER!" after you jump three times in a row. yea, its a minor nitpicky complaint but knowing myself, im gonna get tired of him pretty quick, hahaha.
yeah, and he doesn't even sound epic like in reach. I remember I cracked up the first time I heard him say "BAWMB TAKEN"
It was bad enough in Reach objective games. He never shutup in those. And that was obnoxious. And now it'll be like that in slayer. I may play with the sound off.
I know someone who already haves the game. I could ask to confirm, not sure if he answers right away though. I know somethings about the forge mode and online so..
This should be interesting. The videos are too fast paced imo.. but maybe it'll be different with less players, as I plan on doing. Eh, I don't have much to say 'till I play it.
That announcer? Yeah, this game is getting played most often like I normally do (no audio and with music from my computer). As for the game, I like how fast paced it is: that was something Reach and 3 never got to me. They were fun, though 4 seems to surpass both (please dont hate me). This style of play is not all great, but looks pretty darn fun.
I hate that the claw shows up in the loadout as an energy sword. It makes the flood mode that tiny bit less absorbing.
They could always have separate volume options for stuff, but that's pretty low on the list of customization options they didn't give us.
i wonder how forgeable Exile is. edit- i found some videos from that IGN stream yesterday on this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/TeamTxA for anyone who missed them and wanted to see Settler and Ascent (the maps on ravine and erosion) but we've got so many gameplay videos out now that it hardly matters (ascent is in part 7)
I'm actually loving how fast-paced it looks. Halo Reach was probably the slowest of all the halo games, Halo 4 is shaping up to look a lot more like Halo 2 in regards to kill times. Maybe a bit faster. If you really think it's too fast you should play CE with people that know what they're doing. 3 shot Magnum? Yeah, people died pretty fast with that lol.
Face pace. RST: Lol, typos are fun. Having watched the footage of Vortex, it only just dawned on me how beginner friendly Halo 4 is. Marked weapon spawns, check. Vehicles silhouettes on radar, check. They've welded on all these training wheels to the game like overprotective parents, and the rest of us are stuck with them.
I know, right? [br][/br]Edited by merge: Wait, what? The sound design in this game is astounding, why would you play with no sound? Meh, whatever floats your boat I guess.
