New Years Eve? It doesn't make sense to release it after Christmas, and New Years Eve would be an odd choice for release. I'm guessing much earlier in the month or even earlier in the holiday shopping season.
So hopefully they release those audio files they talked about last week. Today is the day of the weekly halo bulletin right?
Usually, but I have seen them be posted on thursdays. It should've been posted by now, so I think we will see it tomorrow.
I may be a dmr/br fanatic, more so the br, but that is besides the point. I loved being able to dual wield in the previous Halo's. It added depth to the gameplay, as you never knew what your opponent was wielding. I do hope they wind up "changing things up a bit"
The Halo Bulletin: 2.23.12 There's nothing in the weekly update suggesting an unveiling of Halo 4 at the Spring Showcase, though if you're an audiophile you might enjoy reading it.
Quasi-Proof that there will be a three-round burst weapon, presumably like the BR as apposed to the DMR. (Though a DMR like weapon is still feasible). Proof is at the 00:37 Mark. Halo 4 Field Audio Recording - YouTube
Call it what it is. Not proof, not "quasi proof": supporting evidence. Though just because they shot a weapon in bursts (and not even in consistent 3-round burst bursts) doesn't mean the Battle Rifle is in Halo 4 any more than it would mean miniguns and mortars are.
God that makes me want to go to the range and fire some rounds. <3 I'd say its very likely we will get a 3 round burst gun again. I just hope its hitscan.
I'd rather they focus on refining the DMR. It's a great weapon when you subtract 100% bloom from it. And the BR's 3-round burst always annoyed me a bit.
I'm curious to see how they're going to change the tone of music based on what gameplay scenario you're in. So what, you're in the middle of a hectic firefight and decide to bail and the game knows the moment you walk X number of feet away which results in a song change? If so, this will be pretty cool.
Some halo fansite. I think the date is just a place holder as previously stated. Still, preee-oorrrdeerr.
If you listen carefully, the shooter fires off 4, then 3, then 4, then 3 rounds. Just seems like he's holding the trigger down for a fullauto fire weapon and bursting manually.
Indeed, I just thought it was odd that they would be "Burst Firing" a weapon for recording purposes, it seems like they would record the entire clip emptying and cut it where they need to.
