hmm... Anyone else noticing that alot of the human based maps look a lot like the forge objects we saw on the RTX vid? In fact I'm certain the mancannon seen in the still image for the Adrift video is the same one.
"Sooooo, what exactly is the purpose of a mongoose.? I just don't get it." - Ryan McAffrey, everyone.
Dang a lot of IGN vids have been released featuring multiplayer. What happened to just two a week? I'm not going to complain. It makes me happy. Still concerned about the lack of forge news. Either it's really awesome and they want to use it at the last minute to get impulse buys or they haven't shown it because they really didn't care about forge this time around, but considering the fact that they made three worlds makes me think that it will be worth the wait.
Apparently IGN didn't mean to post those vids. Damn, I got back from classes too late to see them. I'll have to wait a few weeks. @ Elite Just because there is a multiplayer flood mode does not mean they have to be in the single player/ spartan ops. Remember, War Games is a simulated experience in the lore, so this is a simulated flood mode inside the UNSC Infinity.
personally i dont care, but he does have a point. if it's a simulation, why would they not simulate themselves fighting against their enemies, instead of themselves
Well for obvious reasons they would much rather train against humans instead of computers, and if one team in training is suddenly forced into a new body that they don't understand it would both be confusing for them and an extra variable to take into account that could throw off the accuracy of tests done in the war games setting. Spartans are training to use their skills and bodies to the best of their ability, so using a simulated body that doesn't match your own would make things more confusing on the real battlefield. Also, let's face it, it was dumb with elites having more damn health than spartans in Reach. It worked in Invasion, it was silly everywhere else.
it could be explained away by simply saying that the Elites are AI controlled holograms, programmed to behave like the covenant have based on data collected from all the wars. it wouldn't necessarily have to be a human mind in an elite body...assuming that's even how the holo-VR-doohicky works anyway, which we dont know =P
Eh, honestly they can just use the excuse that we don't have full access to Infinity simulations. Obviously there are more than ten environments to train in lol. Either way, Elites in Reach sucked for matchmaking.
Can someone post a link to Meltdown that works? That one doesn't work.... EDIT: Nevermind I found one.
yea, Forward unto Dawn was pretty decent, lookin forward to the rest. why is Lasky's brother a matt damon lol
so far looks great.. but i think the actress that plays Orenski isn't best for that part.. she sounds retarded when she is barking orders
FuD was pretty sick. I really hope it does well enough to warrant some sort of follow up; I'd love the prospect of a legit Halo movie actually coming into fruition and this seems like the perfect means to reach that goal.
Super stoked for the next episode... Silva is rather attractive. I have a huge soft spot for these space-military-drama shows. Battlestar Galactica is my Glee.
