The Forerunner weapons look tasty. Also, I love the reintroduction of what looks to be boss/mini-boss enemies.
I'm officially stoked. Yes, Schnitzel the hater is now hyped for Halo 4. Everything looks gorgeous! Everything sounds amazing! The BR is a 4sk! The DMR has minimal bloom! The kill times are fast! The sandbox is diverse! We've got a Flak Cannon! The AR and Plasma Rifle (new name?) look solid! OMG! Can't wait! Multiplayer, so long as we get a good match making system, should be solid and the campaign looks mind numbingly good! Happy days! Halo is back!
Well, this post is my shock of the day, but I am i agreeance with it. The weapon that resembles the plasma rifle is the Storm Rifle. It visually resembles the Covenant Carbine, (which is silly since that is in the game too) but it fires more like the plasma rifle.
*shoves foot in mouth and sits down* THE WAY THE BODIES DISINTEGRATE INTO GLOWY ASH IS ****EN AWESOME. *shoves foot back in mouth*
Weeeh **** it, thought I'd be over console gaming by now. Looks like it's time to pick up an xbox before H4. EDIT: also, dunno if anyone else caught this or if it's been confirmed already but it looks life falcons are coming back.
Haha I love how quickly people's tones have changed about this game, me included. Everything looks pretty sweet. That being said, they seemed to avoid mentioning anything that people have been unhappy about. Peoples tone has changed because those things haven't been mentioned, not because they've decided they like things like armor abilities and shotgun starts I'm hoping the positive mood is here to stay though and that the game turns out well
...well there ya have it folks. The moon's made of cheese. Pigs do fly. Left is right, Bill O'Reilly is one of the sharpest minded people on planet Earth. The game does look much crisper and better than Reach.
I feel like the campaign demo was a bit linear and such, and reminded me a lot of sierra 117. If it's from very early in the game, that's fine, but if it's from later on that's not such a good thing. Still I got the feeling it was from early on, so I'll take it. also, what blew up that warthog in the multiplayer footage? I hope it didn't just explode from a frag grenade and a few AR rounds...
I just have to say, I'm amazingly psyched for the campaign now. If there's a good map editor, I'll be set for... well, until Halo 5 comes out. This **** looks awesome. Oh, just to clear some things up: - Master Chief has always talked, he's not just now talking. - Those weren't forerunners. Best guess, they were the planets automated defense system, or precursors, or a mix of the two.
I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to admit it Everything looks amazing and I'm definitely putting my money into it, but I still wouldn't be incredibly surprised if I was personally let down after playing it for a week just like I was with Reach; I just hope it isn't that way. I'm sold, but I just don't want my expectations to soar sky high. The only complaint I have about the MP/Spartan OPs B-Roll is that Jeff Steitzer (or is it a new guy?) sounds like he's talking to us in that slow tone that people use when they're talking to infants or being patronizing when he says "overkill." I think all of the guns sound great though. I still can't tell if bleedthrough is there or not; I hope to god it isn't. My only negative complaint about campaign is that it looks like it might be a bit too cinematic and should tone that down, and the Promethean Knights have retarded looking heads, IMO: "DURR"
Halo's campaign has always been linear. The only deviation from that formula was ODST and a little portion of the level Halo in Halo CE. And even that was still pretty linear. Continuing that trend isn't surprising or not to be expected. I'm not entirely sure what seemed overly "cinematic" about it. It was a practiced walkthrough meant to showcase certain features about the Campaign and the few parts that did seem "cinematic" seemed appropriate to me but whatever. As far as the enemies, meh, seemed fine to me. After years of grunts, derp faced jackels, and hilarious rag doll physics making enemies not seem scary at all, doesn't really matter how they look in one still frame to me.
