And what's the one difference between CE-Reach and 4? 343. They don't have to actually follow any sort of trend... well at least with something like the box art. They could even go ahead and not offer a legendary edition if they wanted.
That art is friggin' sweet. I don't know if I'll love Halo 4 as much as previous Halos, but I'll definitely love its cover more.
Well, I think the biggest difference is that the Halo 4 one doesn't say bungie. And, em. Looks like concept art. And PEGI wouldn't ahve rated it yet. Not unless they have 100% finished the game and have released an RC
that's box art id happily buy a poster of and put up on my wall. glorious. finally, something im enthused about seeing
Halo 4 News of 5/15 -Halo 4 cover found on Amazon. It's all finalized and stuff. -Next ten years of Halo. Interview w/ Frank O'Conner from GI.
Oli he stated his opinion on the matter and kept it to the blog section, don't bring it here just to get people to go after him. Also....I'm not sure where the new cover was found on Amazon, when I type Halo 4 into amazon I still get Spoiler
Oh dear god. Just read the weekly update. - Weapon skins. WHY!!! It's trivial I know, but I just don't like the idea. - Competitive multiplayer is now "War Games." Why not competitive and social, or ranked and unranked! - Some specialisations are avaliable early to those with the LE. Disgraceful. Who is making this? EA? I thought the halo formula was "everybody starts equal," not "people who pay the most and play for the most get a massive advantage"

We decided to focus our efforts on a single special edition instead of numerous ones so you wouldn’t have to pick and choose between what ancillary items you want. Now your primary choice is whether or not you just want the game, or the game along with all the goodies. And we’re hoping we made that decision an easy one for you…
Holy poop. That is great, and terrifying at the same time. I really don't know how to feel about the early unlocks and such.
I was never a fan of extra features that directly impact gameplay needing to be paid extra for. I hope those maps would be available as standalone dlc.
Awe yeeeeea, finally: weapon skins! I'm elated over the fact that we can now customize our weapons, along with our armor. I wonder how many different skins there are? Also, LE box is amazing; buying it for that alone lol
That is some sexy pre-order bonuses. I'm not one to buy special editions of anything, but this... an extra 30$ for all of that stuff? I've gotta say 343i just got my purchase of Limited. I'll kind of answer those concerns too. - Weapon Skins, pointless and shouldn't be applied to any weapon other then the one you bring into battle (aka: if you drop your pointless cool skinned AR for a BR on the map and you have a BR skin, it shouldn't change the default look) - I believe we were already told in the Main Menu there would be Campain and Infinity. War Games may most likely be the new name for matchmaking as part of the Infinity multiplayer along with custom games, forge, and theater. - Specializations may very well be the new name for the 'perks' mentioned before. Not sure what they are even going to be but other people will have their chance to unlock it as they progress through the ranking system. It may even turn out they will all be pointless and we don't even want to use them half the time. Those extra features are all going to probably be codes anyway, so if you don't like a certain aspect of it you can just not download it and earn it through ranking up.
It's essentially just the "season pass" from Gears 3. You get to download all DLC free as it comes out.
They haven't specified that the LE-provided customisations (even then, I agree that early is bad, but LE-exclusive is awful) are gameplay influencing ones. If they are then your rage is justified. War Games is probably just a name, I wouldn't read too much in to it at this stage. I see no indication that they'll be LE-exclusive. That would be stupid on their part, as they're never going to sell as many copies (for want of a better word) of the DLC by making you buy the LE as they would with the standard sales model. The way they said "future DLC" also makes it sound (at least to me) like it's just a way to preorder all/the first 3 DLCs included within the LE. I see no problem with that, as it's actually adding the kind of value I can get on board with.
