I think it was a great success and here is why: MP disc: While it would have been great to have our own multiplayer, it was an expansion so that doesn't matter to much. The 24 maps all in one is really nice. Even though I have all the map packs, I think it was smart to include all of that. Other than that, it was all the same as halo 3's which has worked for two years. Firefight: Firefight was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I like it for halo because of all of the different kinds of enemies there are. It keeps it mixed up a lot. The bonus rounds are nice and fun and trying to stay alive on them is even better. The waves and rounds are nice a mixed with different enemies so its not really monotonous gameplay. The best part though is the fact the enemies actually come to you. I get bored with it after a while but I do with everything like this. After a 2 hour game, you don't really want to play more. Campaign: I loved the campaign. I thought it was really well done with the hub and the different objects you had to find and piece together to figure out what happened. Also, when you played as different members of the squad, you usually had a certain type of weapon. For example, spartan laser, sniper, banshee, scorpion. The campaign kept it mixed up on what weapons you got to use and made you utilize many different ones to beat it on legendary. it was nice legendary was harder than halo 3 on legendary. The music when you were in the city was well done. The audiophiles presented a secondary story that is actually pretty interesting. The caches were fun as well providing you with different weapons and vehicles. The story was pretty interesting, but it was just nice to know what happened after the chief left earth and what transpired between that and the beginning of halo 3. This is just going out on a limb but I think the people who tend to dislike ODST don't like campaign to much.
IT is the Best desighned halo game of all time. It is awesome. And the second disc saved me 10 dollars on legendary. Firefight owns to.
