    * I wasn't sure wheter this was a competetive or casual map, but I decided to put it here after a test with some friends. If it doesn't belong here, then I will move it and and apologize.*

    Halo 1 Valhalla!

    Here we go!

Have fond thoughs of Blood Gulch? Bummed its not in Halo 3? Well this map isn't exactly a exact remake, the Sandbox varients would help that craving. No, what I have here is a Valhalla varient that has teleporters, Halo: CE weapons/vehicles, and similar weapon spawns from Blood Gulch.
If you are a purist about certain things, then I wouldn't recommend this for you. While this map was called competetive during a test, it would be what I call "casual competetive". It really would be for less serious players and people just wanting to have a great time.

    Weapons
    2x Sniper Rifles
    6x Assualt Rifles
    4x Magnums
    10x Frag Grenades

    2x Warthogs
    1x Overshield
    1x Camo

*Also about the images....I did the correct method, but they ended up like they did for some reason. If you have any complaints let me know. Please?*

To be honest, I don't think you can improve Valhalla. I don't like how closely some of the weapons are placed together, such as in the bases. "Armories" are never a good thing, and it could cause accidental pickups which are very frustrating. The teleporters may speed up gameplay, but it would be easy to camp them, so I'm not so sure those were a good addition. I realize you were trying it that "Blood Gulch" feel, but I don't think it was executed well.

Sorry to be so negative, but forging on Valhalla is never a good idea IMO :(

Also, the pictures are fine, don't worry about them.

What is your reasoning behind putting the overshield and camouflage where you did?

I do not remember camo in blood gulch. Plus, you should have added a custom powerup that recharges your sheilds only for a health pack :p!

But other than that, good job with what you had to work with!

I could have sworn that on Coagulation, a Overshield spawn was by the rocky teleporter exit and a Camo was by the teleporter exit in a cave with a pool of water. I tried being as consistant as I could.

Yea it is correct just the weapons like someone else said are too close together and, you shouldn't have put 4 frags together like in Halo 1 because that was only because you could have 4 frags on you at a time, also you should switch the pistols with BRs since they are kind of equivalent.

If you remember, Battle Rifles were not in Halo: CE. Magnums were the CE version. Otherwise, it wouldn't quite feel like Halo: CE.

In coag yes there was invis but not in Blood Gulch still great job looks like you spent alot of time and effort on making this as close as possible.

I know you wanted a blood gulch feel but put the tele's inside the bases and space out the weapons a bit more, and maybe try to bridge that one area where the creek goes in between the rocks on red side.

Yes, but he's saying that BRs are more equal to the Halo:CE magnums than the Halo 3 magnums are. Halo 3 magnums are not the same as Halo:CE magnums.

So are you saying you going for VISUAL looks rather than actual weapon balance?

As I remember, the pistol could scope and kill people with 4 headshots. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think another weapon *cough*BR*cough* has those quailities.

That may be true, but it seems to me like you're trying to base this more off of Blood Gulch than Coagulation. And if that's the case, your map is not as accurate as it could be.

Blood Gulch had a single powerup location in the middle of the map, not far from the rocket launcher. It alternated from being a camouflage to an overshield; if you picked up one, it would respawn shortly as the other.
