Kinda want to see what some of you thought but mostly I need to vent. So, I recently got Guitar Hero: WT as a gift for the 360. I get everything hooked up to find that not of the pads on the drum works. None of it works except for the middle console with the regular Xbox buttons on it. After turning everything on in different orders, nothing worked. After a day I decided to try again and low and behold, it works. No problems at all. So, I'm playing last night and as I start "Eye of the Tiger," it starts showing the same symptoms. Anyone heard about this or a way to fix it or why it's happening?
You should be able to take it back and get a new one. I'm so tired of people selling us such crappy products. My friend had to take his Rock Band 2 drum set back 4 times before he got one that worked. Luckily all my GHWT stuff worked the first time but one of my guitars is getting iffy.
I haven't had any problems with it otherwise. When it was working, it worked perfectly. I guess I'll be taking it back. Here's to a good set. Would still like to know what the problem is, probably just a one off thing
My guitar's broke, the mic broke, the drumstick broke the second time of playing it, the wire's loose (now disconnected) from the kickpedal, the yellow doen't work, nor des the green, and the orange requires extra effort. also, given the crazy line up for guitar hero now, i've given up all hope on it.
Did you change the batteries? Sync like 3 times with your XBox. If that doesn't work then, its craped.
Well, as it stands now, I think it's a wiring issue. If i push down the middle console if fixes whatever is wrong with it for a bit. Ican, yes, I tried both. Nothing.
The drums that came with my GT were crap too. You had to use all of your force to get any response from the red pad. Eventually my cat chewed threw the yellow cymbal wire and I couldn't play it anymore. I wasn't under warranty anymore either so I thought I'd crack that thing open and see what's inside. The pads are all wired to this chip in the middle. My guess is that the plug is a little loose from the chip. So yeah, to be safe you might as well send it in and see if you can get a functional set. I myself just use my electronic set and connect it to the Drum's console via MIDI cable. It's sooo much better than that plastic piece of crap. But I guess not everybody has an electronic drum kit with MIDI output capability =P If you can't find your receipt, I myself would crack it open because I find these sort of fixes to be fun projects, but to be 100% safe, SEND IT IN.
