So, this is my first forge project in Reach. I started it VERY early on in Reach's life, however i grew disinterested with the game. Now that Halo 4 is on it's way, I've got the Halo bug again, so i figured i would finish this up at the very least. So i come here, seeking constructive criticism. This link should work in sending you to my map. And this one should lead you to preview images i have for it, although they probably aren't the best. It is a symmetrical 4v4 (possibly lower) map enclosed within the coliseum area. However i have added spaws for the other 6 teams just to do it. Here is a weapon/item breakdown; 8x Frag Grenades 4x Plasma Grenades 2x Magnum 2x Spiker 2x Plasma Pistol 2x Plasma Repeater 2x Plasma Rifle 2x Needle Rifle 2x Needler 4x DMR 1x Rocket Launcher 2x Shotgun 2x Sniper Rifle 2x Grenade Launcher 2x Mounted Machine Gun 2x Concussion Rifle Things i feel as though may still need to be done/ things that need to be changed; -Add (more) aesthetics. -Thin out weapon variety on the map. -Add more spawn/respawns. -Make sure objectives work correctly. -Continue building upon the map and possibly expand upwards and add another level, somehow. -Build upon whatever constructive criticism is given. So yeah, I would absolutely love and appreciate the time any of you put into looking at my map. I'd test it out myself, but i have no friends playing Reach anymore. Thanks.
From what I can tell, it looks a tad... sloppy. To be completely honest, the pieces don't seem to create very much harmony or theme. As for gameplay, just from pictures of course, it looks to be quite open and the areas that do have cover; buildings and cove-esque areas; appear to be very vulnerable to ambush or nade-spamming. Just my opinion, not passing any sort of judgement, take it or leave it.
Fair observation. It was never meant to be the prettiest map for sure, heh. But yeah, it probably could use some more cover. Personally i felt certain ground level areas were a bit too open. However, would you care to elaborate upon the ambushing and nade-spamming? Really, i can't help but feel any somewhat enclosed area is susceptible to these behaviors. Thanks for your input.
