The main reason is because I have great ideas in mind but cannot put them towards an actual forged map. I guess you could call me a hopeless perfectionist. I know how to interlock fairly well. I cannot seem to get geo-merging right though. I was never really properly taught. Whenever I use the door technique it comes out crooked. Yes, I've looked at Forging 101 but I am more of a visual/audio learner. So, now, I am begging Forge Hub to help me in my quest to make a great map. I would love to help out but I really am restricted from Xbox. Major suckage. Could I, if anything, make a drawn picture guide? I love geomerging and am starting to use it. Its awesome for aesthetics and creativity. Just send me a PM if you would think my help would suffice.
Finally! Someone has the same problem as me! i can't geo merge for crap and if someone could teach me the new technique that was recently discovered please let me know!
For th record, geomerging is just trial and error. It was never meant to work, its a glitch. Whenever I geomerge something onto one of my maps, I usually have to quit and reload the map and do it again upwards of 10 times, and even then it isn't actually straight, it's just kinda close and I don't care anymore XD However, if you want some help, I'm here. I'm not the most advanced or experienced forger ever, and don't even ask me about switches, but I have a pretty good grasp of the basics. GT=Squiiddish
I find that the best way to geomerge for newbies to the process is using the doors method. It only works for straight geomerging so far as I've found (meaning straight into the ground/wall with no wierd angles), but is generally consistent and doesn't require too much skill. There was a video tutorial somewhere, but I can't seem to find the thread...
