GOW3 AnvilThis is a preview for the latest map I have been working on in Forge, GOW3 Anvil. Instead of just remaking a well known GOW map I decided to look for one which would probably work well in a Halo style game, I thought the overall layout of this map which has a lot of good lines of sight and flanking routes would probably be the best choice. The map just needs the different gametypes and spawns tweaking but the overall build is pretty much finished, here are a few screenshots. This is the main balcony as you leave the spawn area, it has a sniper on it and faces straight through an archway looking at the other teams sniper point. Make sure you get there quick or you may get there dead. The archway has a deathzone in it which is marked by the edge of the 1x2 ramps so people know not to cross, I have left a small gap on the edge which is safe incase people on the lower level accidentally jump on it. There has to be a deathzone here because I need it open for lines of sight but can't allow flags and bombs being shortcutted through there in objective. This is the area which is just below the balcony and has routes to pretty much everywhere on the map, this is good for flanking the camping sniper up in his tower. This is the sniper tower or just a tower on one side of the map next to the sniper, there are multiple lines of sight from this tower across the map but like I said before, there are a lot of flanking routes so don't get zoomed in and camp too much. This map is symmetrical and I have added extra bits and changed things to suit Halo better, sorry theres only three pics but I don't want to show everything. I should have this posted in the next two weeks unless I decide to Testers Guild it, I had a lot of fun building it and hopefully you guys can have fun playing it when posted.
