    Gorner Ruins
    Gametype: Dead's Den

Alright guys, this is my first ever post on forgehub, so feel free to criticize me for anything I do wrong so I can be sure to not make the same mistake in the future.

Alright, at a first glance, this may seem like your ordinary infection map, but in it's slight simplicity lies many hours of game play, and a new experience everytime you play it. When the game starts, the infected will find themselves in sort of a hallway, at the end being a hole that they must drop down in order to get to the humans. After the infected have fallen down the hole, they will find themselves in "The Blue Room". In here they will find that their entrance into the ruins is being shut out by a small block, so in order to proceed, they must first slash away at the block in order to make it fall. At this time, the humans may either find a hiding place if they wish to hide it out, or gather up weapons if they want to fight the zombies, or even do both. Note that if humans want to fight off the zombies, teamwork is key, as the alpha zombies has 3X oversheilds and are difficult to kill alone. In the ruins, the humans will find many options, as there are a bundle of secret locations and weapons hidden in the map. In the meantime, the zombies may still be slashing at the block, or will have escaped, because everytime the game is played the block can be easy enough to knock off on your first hit, or stubborn enough to take around 75 slashes to knock over, this helps keep the experiance fresh for both zombies and humans. Once inside, the game plays like almost all other infection maps do, the infected must hunt down the survivers and dispose of them in any means possible. The fun here lies in discovering new rooms and weapons, although even after you may have found out everything about the map, there are enough places to hide or hold out to still keep the game fresh for many more playthroughs after. Note that humans who have become infected are very agile but very easy to kill.

    Now on to the Screenshots

Just a general overview of the ruins.

Here is a closer look at the central section.

A closer look at the area refferred to as the hole. Inside is a sniper rifle, a shotgun, and a couple plasmas. A lot of people make runs in the beggining to grab the gravlift from the sniper tower and grab the weapons in here before the zombies can escape. You will need the gravlift because it is the only way to escape, and you will not survive if you plan to hold out here.

A look at the first floor on the inside of the main base.

An overview of the sniper tower as seen from outside.

A view at the inside of the sniper tower.

This is where the zombies spawn.

This is the infamous blue room.

    Now for some Action Shots

    Escaping the blue room.

    Trouble in the sniper tower.

    Aeirial strike...

    Failed!

    Uh oh

Note to zombies: watch for brute shots!

You can always take up refuge in the needler room...

At this point, consider yourself dead.

    Where is he?

    Surprise!

Well thats my map, don't ask me why I made the alpha zombie pink because I wouldn't know. Again, be sure to inform me on anything I may have done wrong so i may better myself for the future.

    Lol, Pink alpha zombie.

However, Im not that keen on the map, it looks slightly sloppy but if you didnt merge then its been built OK. If you dont know how to merge, check out forging 101.

Also, add a bit of scenery, a building and a blank map doesnt appeal to me.

If you take this into account, I reckon you could make a really nice infection map :)

This map is missing a bit of expansion. I think it is necessary for you to add some sort of senery as well, and a bit of cleaning could come to help. You should spent a bit more ti e on these improvements and try to forge a little slower, because it looks likemyou came up with this map in a hurry. Also, Im a bit sceptical about two turrets. Along with the phrase "Several hours of testing". Well, just try for a v2

it is a very simple and very old concept that isnt forged very well, sorry to be harsh, but i dont know how else to put it. Also i think making the alpha zombie with 3x overshield is a terrible idea, because on a map like this people wont be together that often, so the zombie would pick off each person one by one

It's fine, I did ask everyone to be honest with me at the beginning. Anyway, I like recieving your guy's criticism as it helps me make the appropriate changes to my map, and also helps me with future maps. I am currently working on an update of my map, and im being sure to fill all the free space, as well as clean up all of the original things. Thank you guys, I appreciate it!
