Sandbox Glassed Highway

    Glassed Highway

    Glassed Highway is a map a friend and I made a while back, and since I just got an account here I decided it would be cool to post it. (Sorry if I break any rules, this is my first post.) Anyway, Glassed Highway is a BTB map made for Team Slayer and Capture the Flag.

    Backstory

    The Prophet of Truth's Fleet annihilated All of New Mombasa along with it's many highways. Some Covenant contacts that were left behind still scour the ruins of what is left of Mombasa's Coastal Highway. Many of some of the surrounding building's core structure still remain, with no sign of a restoration or clean up crew, it is your job to finish the fight.

    Nice center peice..
    I dont really like it when people add easy camping spots to maps
    The little box at the bases are just nests' waiting to be used.
    Try opening them up by adding a wall as the floor then add little
    barriers for some cover.. then it wont be as bad as the little box
    People just constantly crouching when they hear a sniper fire.
    Turrets arent always best or even good in maps so thats another
    downside of this map.

    Hmmm... I haven't really noticed the turrets as a problem during playtesting, due to their open placement they tend to get taken out by snipers, but now that you mention it, I think I'll change the tube corners in a v2 or something. Thank you for your input.

    this is flatout awesome..reminds me of the map tsvao highway..tht sumbody made a while bak.....but this is quite beast....loving the merging.....good job!!

    The structures on this map look really interesting and nicely interlocked/ghost mearged. Im not shure how it will play but its a looker for sure. Well done on your first post.

    I like how you made the open areas feel like they fit in, it’s a hard thing to do in forge sometimes. I also admire how the bases are set up along with all the destruction in the middle. I would like nothing more then to gives this map a go on CTF right now. It might not hurt to experiment with new vehicles…I wish that I had better advice for you, but from the pictures this map looks like it’s at a pretty good point.
