    k, i just got gimp, And i wnat to learn how to make sigs, who can help me with the basics, like, setting a backround, adding pictures to layers, etc.

    A lot of this is very simple and sort of common sense, explore around gimp a little.
    I also suggest to check out beginner tutorials.

    Youtube, google videos, and we have a stickied thread under G&A with links to a bunch of websites.

    They have much higher quality tutorials than google...
