I've known how to ghost merg for some time now and iv never ran in to this glitch. glitch: placing a obelisk in the ground while ghosting and get it perfect the way i like it i save the map the next time i started up the map to finish it the obelisk is moved form its original spot it was placed in ________________________________________________________ solutions? i have tried restarting the map restarting my Xbox and redoing the obelisk but non of these have helped dose any one know what i am doing wrong? I would post pic if absolutely necessary.
You probably put the tear drop of the item below the ground. If you do so the object will raise out of the ground where you set it the next time you save and reload the map. To fix the problem don't put the tear drop under the ground and instead use the other side.
You're in the crypt, right? Unfortunately you can't position objects in the crypt in such a way that the little teardrop dot is outside of the map. If it were a box or wall I'd tell you to just flip it over, but for an obelisk I'm afraid you're out of luck.
The blue node underneath the obelisk which tells the item where to go must be placed within the confines of the map, AKA ghost merging it under the ground will fail. Sorry but you will have to try a different item. Also a small fix for this with items which are identical on top and bottom is to just flip it upside down.
you can ghost merge the tear drop outside the map anywhere but in the crypt. i dont know y it does this, you just cant merge it. im not sure about the walls/ceiling though
I can't tell if he's talking about an object pushing itself out of the floor or an OLN object resetting to it's original position.
Ohh that explains a glitch/bug i ran into the other day when forging. I was working on a map and wanted to put a red light under the floor in the crypt so it would not get in the way, every time i saved and quit it was push up half way through the floor. Dang so nothing under the crypt... Also this is off topic but it does have to do with ghost forging. Did you know you can ghost forge teleporters? Some times it doesn't work because you can't make them respawn never but if you need it done, and you try a couple times it will work.
