Any tips or advice on Geo-Merging?
I can Geo-Merge but when I do the object is usually at some sort of a slant. Thus creating bumps and/or flaws in my maps.

ALWAYS save and quit. It makes a huge difference. In other words, instead of quickly grabbing and releasing the box (Or whatever item you're merging), hold it for about two seconds, go to the menu and save & quit while still holding the item. When you load it back up, the merge will be straight (usually). Also, always use teleporters for braces: by far the best.

That pretty much sums it up. But you could also: Save it as a different map when you save and quit, that way if you messed up the geomerge you can just go back without deleting the object. And you could try setting man cannons against the object as well as teleporters, it seems to help.

Always save as new map. This way if the merge comes out awkward you have a copy of the braced box that you can fix before doing it again. Also man cannons really do help. They prevent the box from going in at a bad angle but even more importantly they will push the object completely flat against your guide box. This way you can redo bad uneven floors. Another thing to remember is that you can never have too many braces. When the masters like fritzer make maps like Amplified they use every weapon holder and every teleporter in the game. And then they go incredibly slow spending around 3-4 hours per merge.

    Advanced merging

Hope this helped. Any further questions about the art of geometry merging or if you need me to go into a more detailed guide on Geo-merging I will be happy.

Both good points, but man cannons are really only necessary when merging very deep (Like a 3rd or even 4th merge) to prevent the item from sinking under the map.

and even better, instead of using doors, put a box at the height you want your object to be, place barriers and mancannons, and then merge your box to the exact height you want it at. And again, always save and quit. Using this instead of doors is not only more accurate, but it removes the increments that can only be accomplished by using a door.
