Gears of War 2 Yesterday was the release of GOW2 as a lot of you may know. For those of you who got it yesterday i want to know your thoughts on the game. Gears of War In my opinion the first GOW was a whole lot better(in multiplayer) because you didnt have the burden of falling down every down a grenade was chucked. Not only that but the power of the shotgun was removed. So now we dont have the head to head shotgun fights anymore, but we have these assault rifle to flamethrower fights. The new and improved(so they say) matchmaking system is fairly good. It has long matchmaking times. This may just be because the game is new. The reason for this matchmaking system is for maps and gametypes to vary. I really just want to join a game and fight. Gears of War 2 The GOW2 campaign towers over the first games(in my opinion). The GOW2 campaign provides a new variety of weapon like the mortar,the scorcher flamethrower,the gorgan pistol, the mulcher,and the boom shield which all can be used in multiplayer. ________________________ This may be a spoiler for those who dont have the game but for those who do have the game what are your thoughts? They both are amazing games honestly. Gears 2 has so much hype to live up too and i think they just about did. The matchmaking system seems pretty solid though i don't quite understand it and being knocked over by grenades is more realistic, no matter how annoying. I think the biggest problem with the second Gears is the power of the lancer and chainsaw. It's not almost impossible to run up someone with a lancer, and if you do then your just gonna get chainsawed (sometimes) They tried to make Gears into a game it's never gonna be. Campaign in the second Gears is so much more epic though, with huge battles it feels more rewarding. Gears of war2>Gears of was Barely
Gears of War 2 is so much better! The grenade falling over thingy is great in my eyes and the new ways to execute people are emense ... The matchmaking is sooo much better so far as there is none of those moments where someone hosts it and doesn't start it. The online modes are really good too and the flashback map pack is nicee .. Gears of War 1 was really good but i totally prefer the new one .. One question can you have guests on the new one?
Gears 2 is better. All that really pushes it up past Gears 1 is their ability to have more than 5 enemies running around at one time. It gets so epic.
