By far the worst endings were from the RPGs. Not because of the story line, because of the fact the game was (usually) over. I hate beating a great game. The hardest game up there would definitely be Return to castle Wolfenstein. It's questionable if the game is even possible on the "I am death incarnate" difficulty. My favorite ending is probably Half-life 2 Ep 2's.
