I have a button controlled door in the map I'm working on and I need the fusion coils to explode in a chain reaction. Originally the door was working but since I finished the map some coils don't explode anymore. Has this happened to anyone else? Anybody have any idea what the problem is?

I had the same problem. It worked fine for me in single player tests but as soon as I got people on it, no more work. I changed the trigger to a landmine with an ordinance drop falling on it, then comboing into fusion coils, works great now. Glitchy game makes things hard sometimes.

if you have explosives phased in a sequence and that sequence passes through an object, it can be very tricky to get it to work every time. depending on what you want it to do, it may not be possible.

Tell us more about your configuration or perhaps post a screenshot of the design please. I struggled with this exact problem for hours and hours on end when trying to decide on a custom grav-lift design, but finally gave up and realized that trait zones are much better for what I wanted to do.

There's something goofy with fusion coils where sometimes their explosion does no actual damage. It doesn't have to be phased into anything or trying to explode through something. I've tested with two coils inches apart, and shooting one won't blow up the other; I've also tested with shooting a coil that I'm standing right next to, and it didn't hurt me. But it doesn't always do this. On a map I am testing now, I have two coils fairly close to each other; in custom games it appears that a specific one will always blow up the other, but the other will not blow up the first one. So you have to shoot the right one to get it to work, which is annoying.

    A few things I've noticed:
    - Seems to only happen in custom games, not forge.
    - Doesn't affect landmines so if you can use those instead (i.e. for a mechanism instead of a hazard on the map), do it.
    - Doesn't seem to happen on fusion coils set to spawn at start = no. I've been using this as a workaround on my maps whenever possible.

I just fixed my issue by using a large pallet. I still don't know why some of them weren't exploding. Anyways my map is almost complete and I'll be posting it soon
