Freefall is an aerial assault battlefield, created specifically for FFA Slayer and Team Slayer near the waterfall in ForgeWorld, that was designed to test your DMR and sniper skills. Power weapons include two sniper rifles on opposite sides of the map, an energy sword, shotgun and grenade launcher. I incorporated a lot of open space to discourage camping and keep the action moving, but at the same time tried to provide adequate cover to balance out the impact of the dual sniper rifles. Each side has easy access to a sniper rifle at the onset while the shotgun and energy sword are up for grabs near the middle of the map. This is my first halo map and I welcome any constructive criticism/comments on how to make it better!
Welcome to forgehub i feel sorry no one responded to your post but nice job posting the map i see no problems with your post... now about the map i hope i am not too harsh but... number one it looks choppy and spread out and crunched together all at the same time... WAY TOO CHAOTIC... another problem is that it doesn't make alot of sense... such as the flooring is just suspended in air and nothing flows..... suggestions may be add a floor connecting to the ocean some how. Last problem, you only have it set to slayer so far i am guessing, a tip for now on is to have all gametypes available that make sense. in your case maybe king of the hill and or oddball but good luck making maps and posting them here on forge hub... best of luck
I somewhat agree with boomerdude. It all looks like just randomly connected bridges with other buildings and makes little sense. Gameplay and the flow of the map can be affected by all this. I don't care if the map just floats on the water or anything i've seen tons of map doing this I don't know why is this a problem (bommerdude) however it really looks choppy and looks somewhat bad aesthetically. But in the other hand it looks really good compared to other maps i've played.... *shudders*
Thank you for the feedback, I really do appreciate your honesty. As I said, this is my first map and the start of a learning process. After taking the time to view other maps on this forum, I understand what you are saying in comparison and am eager to take another shot at this!
