Hmm, looks like an interesting tool. I'm kinda new to the whole forge thing, so this should help me a bit
i don't know if this haz been mentioned already, but what about a 3d designer i know then you're going even more into "you might as well forge your basic layout" but with the current designer you have, you can barely work out actual angles...
I agree with Tex on this one. The first time I looked at this I thought it would be really cool, and I might use it. But now, a lot of people, including me, use angles a lot, not just rotations, like that little spinny / mark when you restart your computer during the black part that goes all like: | : / : \ : | but more spinnier. Who was it that's making the 3d designer? I forgot. Anyway, I think 3d would be a lot better, even though it might just be faster to Forge it in Halo, it would be fun to mess with a 3d designer.
you can interlock. in foundry designer. but i use google sketch up instead you can zoom in and rotate so much easier
I've said this at least three times before and it's in my original post and in the instructions on the site. You can interlock! Just place the item you want to interlock on top of the object you want to interlock it with.
This helped me when I was stuck in a jam. I didn't use what I actually made but it gave me an idea to get me rolling again. Thanks sir for being a genius.
This is nice but I'd like to have a save function or some way to save the image you have created. Still a nice idea !
How to save an image using the Foundry Designer: 1. Get the entire map on screen. Make sure you can view the entire Foundry Designer. 2. Press the print screen button on your keyboard. 3. Open Microsoft Paint 4. Go to edit 5. Click paste 6. Crop out and/or edit the parts out that you don't need (The image will be of the entire computer screen when you pressed print screen, and it will have the web toolbars up top, start bar on the bottom, etc. Get rid of all of that) 7. Save image as: Png is best, Jpeg is fine, so is Gif. Save it somewhere you can find it (either a folder you know you can access, or the desktop for novices) 8. You're done! you have an image you can now use however you wish.
I know that you've probably gotten heaps of suggestions but I'd like to see A and B Signs in foundry designer.
I've been working on getting the sizes right to add more objects. my XBox just RRoDed so i won't be able to get on and add more objects. I will be working on the saving feature though.
It's cool, but for me, I prefer just drawing my maps. Looks great for people who want to use it though. Clean interface, and user friendly. I tried it once.
