^That makes me so mad. Damn atheistic Swedes, trying to brainwash our children. There's no way in hell I'm supporting this game now. :p

Meh, downloaded the demo... Not nearly as cool as minecraft. The fact that minecraft you have to go out and mine your resources to build what you want is a big draw to me, rather than just building. I couldn't even figure out how to swing my pickaxe in fortress craft. Even the world didn't seem as cool, it was much more random.

    Minecraft > fortress craft

So far....I agree, not even having played Minecraft. I paid my $3 for Chapter 1, and was severely disappointed with the limited functionality.

I will probably end up buying chapter 2 when it comes out, but if there's not a significant improvement, I'll probably say "forget it". I knew it was coming out in episodes, with each one delivering a new gameplay mechanic, but I was expecting MUCH more than what they've delivered so far.

Video looks better than the actual game. Chapter 1 is **** right now.
The shaders and lighting effects are all screwy.
When you interact with other players, they warp all over the place and become invisible. You only often see their tags.

Plus, booting players needs to be put in. If you boot someone, any blocks they delete or create should be removed and replaced to default.

I'm not an epic hater of it, but, I think Minecraft is still superior. If I had the full version I wouldn't even be playing it on Xbox. Lol. :)

Not to sound like and asshole but No sh*t the game is crap. It was rushed just to make people shut up about the release date. When they finally did, people thought it was crap. Give it until at least the 3rd Chapter and then talk about it. Besides, I'd like to think of this as Minecraft Classic.

Sure it get boring, mainly because all the items are at your reach. You have unlimited items.

Protip - Plug in a USB keyboard and hit F1. it turns on wireframe (yes another stupid feature put into the game, legit wireframes) and lets you find all the relics real easily.

If I hadn't played Minecraft first, I might actually be pissed that Indie Games arent available here.

But I have, and from what I can see Minecraft is infinitely superior, so meh.

I didn't take the time to sift through the past three pages of posts, but I've played this for like 200,000 seconds or something like that, build 150,000 blocks, destroyed 160,000, and I'm still enjoying it. Definately $3 well spent. I was actually just about to come in and make a new thread about FortressCraft, and then I saw this one. By the way, everything's easier with a keyboard; yet I don't have one. With a keyboard, you can make the maximum amount of players in your game 8 instead of 4, you can add minecarts, tracks, snow blocks, and a bunch of other ridiculous stuff... So far I've remade Clock Town from Majora's Mask, and that town and castle whatnot from Ocarina of Time.

And if you haven't realized it yet, the only way to play with your friends is to be in the same Gamer Zone. DJ Arcas; creator of FortressCraft, tried to fix it in a patch that should've released today, but Microsoft's peer review sucks.

Anyhow, I would definately recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Minecraft, or Forge for that matter. It might not have as many features as Minecraft, but the graphics are pretty damn sexy for an Indie Game, and you could do worse with $3.
