well for me,it was a hard desicion between GTAIV,Far cry 2 and left 4 dead but for,i ended up with GTA:IV i mean the vehicles are so realistic there are no need for vehicle mods! and the drunk driving game is amazing! i dont think ive ever seen such a realistic game with such good graphics! oh and w00t 1st post
thought it t'was a hard choice my vote went to gears2.its such a good game,the graphics are awesome,the gameplay is awesome,the innovativity is awesome.thus its a phenominal game.(gears is winning at the moment with 3 votes)
Gears is inovative? Woah! Left 4 Dead gets mah vote. It finally makes co-op work and the game is the first game I've seen emphasise team work to such a degree.
I voted. I'm not telling what game I voted. It was a tough decision between Gears 2 and GTA IV. Both games were too epic. GTA IV had such a wide environment and nice physics. Gears 2 is so violent (which is good) and you never get tired of using that chainsaw. So what I voted will be known in the future....

hm... No games really stand out to me. I guess '08 didn't offer any truly EPIC games. There are heaps more games that should be in that list. As an example, where's Saints Row 2?
Thats unexpected. The game was fun, but not GotY material. The productions values were low, graphics were bad, and the story was ****.
Why is Gears of War 2 winning? Like I've seen before, the only reason people play the game is because of the gore. I don't like having to put 3 clips into an enemy just to damage them slightly... Besides most guys think: This game has tons of gore. I need to buy it and love it to show I love gore. Yay gore. Besides, there wasn't anything new about it except for weapons, characters, and enemies, which might I add, still didn't give enough variation to the game. The graphics could have been better. Yes, I said it. I don't like having to see terrain loading on my 360. I don't see that in any other game do I? Anyways, that's the end of my rant. On to the real topic, I voted for MGS4 because that game was flawless, except for the extended cut scenes, but if you think about it, MGS has always had long cut scenes and at least they were very beautiful too. Maybe it's because I love the series, but MGS has always been awesome in my book and this game alone takes the cake.
