So I was thinking two hours ago of what we needed on the forums. I was thinking we had a library, we had a faq, and also we had a forge mate section. What was missing? It took me about 30 minutes to come up with this idea, and I think it was well done. Forge Philosopher Got an idea you want to share, come and put it on so everyone can try it. Got a new guide, but you are stuck somewhere along your writing? Come over here and we will help you. Feel something is overused constantly? Come talk to us, we'll expand the idea and people can start doing it. Main point: To help others in there forging, and also to come up some briliant new ideas. Just two nights ago a new Forging 101 was posted. Something probably no one ever saw before. I thought the idea was incredible. That's not all, as new and new ideas come down I will post them on the main page! That's right. Your briliant new idea could be featured in this post. What are you waiting for, start discussing about Forge!
...get a spellchecker, please. The word is, "Philosopher" - a variation on "philosophy" from the Greek words for word and wisdom: philos and sophia. Philosophy quite literally means a word of wisdom. As it is, philosophy generally looks at the concepts and ideas behind methods and practices, which isn't what you've described. But getting back on topic. In terms of the merging movable objects with map geometry, the thread's been festering in the Forge Discussion forum for quite a while, and I was surprised that it wasn't relocated into the Forging 101 section a lot sooner. Granted, I can't see much use for its in-held methods, but it is yet a new technique that holds quite a bit of promise. Your thread isn't a bad idea, but basically what you're describing is the Forge Discussion forum. People post their incomplete maps, map ideas, guides, FAQs, commentaries, and concerns about Forge, and other people post and some even act on the threads and their contained posts. EDIT: So something didn't quite feel right about my etymological analysis of "philosophy," so I decided to double check my sources. I had the right route words of philos and sophia, but the wrong meanings attached to them. Respectively, they mean "love" and "knowledge." Thereby, Philosophy is the love of knowledge.
Helping others in there forging- isn't that half of what Forgehub does anywhy? And finding your own idea astounding? I'm sorry but that's not very humble...
Not really. Usually most of the people keep it to themselves, I still have yet to figure out how Shock has done his Switch. New Discussion: Flame grenades, acceptable in competitive? Or Bungie weakness in forging?
Have you thought to ask him, or to open his map in Forge and have a look without saving anything? It might just help you out. Usually people are very forthcoming with answers and ideas. I'm guessing you haven't read many of the posts in this forum, because generally speaking people tend to be very helpful about new concepts and ideas. And I've only ever seen flame grenades applied well once: in an infection-style game. They're a hard thing to balance correctly with a map, which is why Bungie capped them at such a low number.
I have seen most of these posts, and yes I do understand they help rather others. Maybe the idea is already done and explains all over. I am not trying to act like a hypocritical man. I just simply made this idea and yet I'm getting flamed for something that I did for no reason. I understand your ideas, and yes I follow them. However, at the same time, I just wanted to help the community. As I explained in the beginning.
