I would go test it right now but my parents are watching the crap about the democratic and republican primaries or whatever. I'll test it tomorrow on all maps if someone hasn't done it by then.
I had something like this the other day but the cause was not the same - I don't know what the cause was, but I didn't even have a grav hammer on the map. The result was that I was able to place two specific weapons that I didn't have the budget to afford, but everything else was still disabled like normal. It was quite odd.
First test: I loaded Sandtrap and wasted all the money on it. I performed the glitch. Afterwards, despite having $0, I was able to generate Battle Rifles, Brute Shots, Spartan Lasers, and Plasma Grenades. Everything else was grayed out. When I placed down these items, the money count did not go negative. Second test: I loaded Foundry and wasted all the money on it. I performed the glitch. Afterwards, everything Forge-able was grayed out. I was surprised to note that Window Panes cost $0 though. Conclusion: Doesn't work with Foundry. While it works with Sandtrap, as the original author noted, it's nothing of real use.
They always cost $0. I wish there were more of them, they're very handy for patching holes and making little platforms.
i was somehow able to place a double box with 3$ i think, but i couldn't post anything that was actually 3$
strange, cause i was working on a level called HxC Zombies with a friend just for fun. I had completed it. So obvoiusly i saved it. (this is all on foundry btw) then when we did a beta, there was a double box going perfectly sideways, blocking the main enterance quite perfectly. i was like wtf. so when i went to go and edit, i apparently could spawn over 10 single boxes and over 10 snipers, three windows and a good 20 barriers, and this was all with $0. EVEN WIERDER. Again i reloaded the map, without all the boxes and snipers and barriers to take another look at that strange double box... i go and delete the double box, and now i cant spawn anything?? :[ even after i deleted this double box i had $0, i had to delete about three more to get out of debt lol IMPORTANT NOTE: I was working with another friend on his host for over 8 hours in a game. this could be why
That is VERY interesting. If you can spawn something as useful as double boxes and other scenery, then more research into this glitch would definitely be worth it.
