I forget where I read it, but I did happen to read the intro to Contact Harvest, it wasn't half bad, maybe I will pick up one of these Halo books.

Okay guys, if you SERIOUSLY want a good read, try The Last Question by Isaac Asimov. Asimov is the same guy who wrote I, Robot and even he admits that it's the best thing he ever wrote. It's a lil' short story about the entropy of the universe and it's only a few pages long, so you could read it during your lunch break! Click here to read the whole thing.

For you LOTR and Eragon lovers I'd recommend The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. The first one's called A Game of Thrones and the whole series will blow you away.

And the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons is great too for more of a sci-fi genre. I could go on, even cross over to graphic novels, but I'll stop unless further requested.

i read all the halo novels, including contact harvest. I think they all were good. The Flood was the worst for me idk why I don't like his writing =P.
I read a lot of R.A. Salvatore books, and I really like fantasy/sci-fi.
I just recently read The Kite Runner, which was amazing read it! and Empire by Orson Scott Card (?) was good too. I love reading, so these are just a few that I like. =D

agreed. I also really enjoyed the novel 'The Stand' by Stephan King. if you can get past page 300 (there are 1152 pages) then it will be the best reading experience of your life.

it does require commitment, but the post-apocalyptic feel seems to really apply to Halo players for some reason.

Esponeo showed you that? Seriously? He just jumped up 10 coolness levels in my book.

Guys, there's more than just Halo books out there you know. And more music than the Halo soundtrack as well.

Lol I see a duel coming on... THROW ALL OF THE BOOK CLUBS BOOKS AT EACHOTHER! :squirrel_giggle:

Anyways... Yeah most of the good ones have been mentioned... Eragon series, Harry Potthead, LOTR, and others. Well I'd recommend The Outsiders, it was the first ever school book I actually read, and it was amazing, its like 60 years old but people are still reading it today... amazing book!

Silmarillion ftw, if you have seen LOTR, you'll like this book by JRR Tolkien. It goes back centuries before Sauron to the creation of Middle Earth.
