So yea, it's like Oprah's book club, but it's forge hub's. I generally hate books, but I like maybe 6. Any one read the Halo books? I've read all but Contact Harvest.
Yea, I've heard it was good. Any one ever read "Animal Farm?" I picked it up last week because the Pink Floyd album "Animals" is based off it and it kicks ass.
But unfortunately you don't die.... I've tried many times. :squirrel_jaffa: :squirrel_jaffa: :squirrel_jaffa:
yessir... I read it last year.. pretty interesting In Soviet Russia, BOOK READS YOU!!! sry hadta do it before anyone else did.
Both Ender's Game and Animal Farm are great books I suggest reading both if you haven't already. Another book I greatly enjoyed was Anthem by Ayn Rand.
wait... im confusing him... i thought the guy like me died... no im like this another... any FH vet who has read AF will know what character is like me...
I'd like to recomend the RAMA series by Arthur C. Clark. Absolutely mind-blowingly amazingly awesome. If you dig harcore, scientifical type of science fiction, you will adore it. I'd also like to recommend R.A. Salvatore (author)'s Icewind Dale Trilogy Dark Elf Trilogy and many other novels following the tales of the chracters in those two trilogies... he's an awesome fantasy writer.
If you want a good book, read Everything is Illuminated by Jonathon Safran Foer. I've never seen the movie, but the book is AMAZING. I highly recommend it.
Eragon and Eldest FTW, i can't wait until they release the 3rd book. I have all the halo books but haven't started reading them yet.
Arthur C. Clark writes the 2___ series right? With Monolith and uh that robot thing... Yeah that was TOO hardcore for me lol. Only thing I remember/ see often is the quite "Wow, its full of stars!" Or something like that. The end is the only thing interesting in that series... Although the first one where it starts with cavemen... lol. Ok, so I finished Life of Pi (Really good book, a lot of religion, and animal - human symbolism), and am currently reading a book called Full Tilt... It won't take me long, so I'm already looking for my next book... I am into fantasy, but wanna read something interesting yet nonfiction next. I REALLY wanna read a WWII book, and am more interested into the German side of the war than the Japanese, but either will do. If anyone can recommend a book or two about WWII, that'd be awesome. Also, please not a diary.
Eragon and Eldest were amazing books. If you haven't heard they are making four instead of the original three due to too much content. I don't know if this will be a goo d thing or not, mostly due to them trying to milk the series even more than they already have.
The Time Traveller's Wife George Carlin's Books I love reading, I'll post more here when I've read more.
Here are the Books and Series that I greatly enjoyed: Tolkien - Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Silmarillion Orwell - Animal Farm and 1984 Dostoevsky - Crime and Punishment: Greatly psychological novel Herbert - Dune, only one of the whole series I have read, but it was great Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451 And finally the Halo Series, all except Contact Harvest. Surprisingly they were all very well written, which seems odd considering they are based off a video game. 1984 is probably the best book that I have read so far though, I recommend it to anyone.
