This thread might be of your interest. Check out the videos listed there: they contain some great explanations on the forging concepts. Those videos are how I learned to forge. Good luck. If you're still having any problems, feel free to give me a VM.
You should also have someone teach you the correct sections to post in. Read Forge 101 on the Forgehub homepage or Click the thread from iRayne or Look at youtube videos explaining different techniques
