Many of these have been repeated, but I’ve listed my new requests up top. New Requests: 1. Steel Floor Grates/Steel Grate Catwalks-Bridges/Chain link fences 2. Thicker Pipe Pieces 3. Computer/Spaceship Consoles 4. Air Raid Sound FX/Sci-Fi Alert Sound FX my Vote for Requests Already Mentioned: 5. FORGE Offline 6. Ocean Skybox 7. Preview Pieces in Menu 8. Water Volumes 9. Scoring by Script/Script by Scoring 10.Trait Zones 11.Gravity Volumes 12.Kill Balls 13.Trigger Zones/Spartan Proximity Scripts “Area Trigger Scripting” 14.Wooden Pallets (Breakable) A HUGE THANK YOU here to the 343 FORGE TEAM. I really do love it. Now that I’ve got a hang of the new controls, they’re really solid. When we get more options for Custom Gametypes I really think this will be the most community oriented FORGE setup and I’m grateful.
It would be amazing to be able to tag objects as "teleportable". As in, when the tag is set to 1, it can interact with a teleporter. Would be very useful for things like conveyor belts. EDIT: And being able to add timers to Actions. And having a Timer Channel Example: For a Button {On interaction} (Set Timer: 5) (Channel: alpha) {On Channel Timer} {Channel: alpha} (Power: Set Alpha) (Toggle)
Also that big circular Dish from Halo 4 was great to forge with. Along with some of the Arched doorway pieces.
Here's my current wishlist. Bug fixes Blank Canvases Desert, Volcanic, Jungle and Ocean canvases/skyboxes Textures (weathered, rusted) and stencil patterns (hexagons, triangles, squares) Placeable Waterfalls and Puddles, with the option to reskin them to acid or magma More tree varieties (palm tree, swamp tree) and exotic flora (everything on Campaign mission Genesis) Covenant and Forerunner crates, towers and barriers Two - point mirror system where objects are instantly mirrored, either flipped or inverted from the absolute zero value specified Custom wedge pieces to fit in between blocks and rings (like how we have banks for ramps. the bottom end of the Trim Corners is a wedge piece) More primitive pieces like Hexagons and the old dishes matched to the rings and cylinders Curved ramps and staircases The option to disable shields from being broken The option to disable vehicles from being entered Destroyed vehicles Pelicans, Phantoms and other giant vehicles for aesthetics Controller options Lightmap budget improvements "Framerate" option for scripting to adjust the speed More FX options like floating fireflies More prefab props like wind turbines, signs, vehicles, etc. Toggle color on Decals More named callouts, especially for different colors.
Sugggestion in case adding the ability to paint textures to objects is impossible: Texture Gobos for Lights. These would cast a static light texture (no moving) that could be shined on objects instead. Thoughts? --- Double Post Merged, Dec 24, 2015 --- Alternatively, I'd be down with the primitive pieces category being split into several sub categories of textures where the entire piece catalog is replicated but have a different texture on it instead of the base flat one we currently have.
1. Offline Forge 2. Control scheme presets, including a classic Forge control scheme with an option to reverse the camera axis's while holding an object. 3. Return of the old Forge pieces (for classic forge map remakes) 4. Ability to make custom block sizes by use of zones. Example: Set up a zone the same way you would set up a spawn zone, except the zone turns into a solid block when you're done. 5. Return of Zoom when clicking the right thumb stick. 6. Marine AI spawn points with team settings. (a long shot, but doesn't hurt to ask for the billionth time. lol)
They really should patch the Invisible blockers so they only affect players and vehicles and not things like grenades. It's really awkward when you put an invisible blocker on top of something because you don't want players to be able to get on top of it, yet things like grenades still bounce off them. Under what circumstances would I ever need a grenade to bounce off an invisible wall?
-More vehicles. ( hornet, falcon ). Trait zones. More custom gametypes (vip, assault, ect..) Gravity hammer. More canvas (water, desert). Scriptable Energy blasts (like the ones that shoot up from buildings in the first level of the first halo). Place ai characters (like warzone). Terrain pieces that have more rugged edges. Most of all though...... Working lighting (indoor maps on space map have horrible lighting). this might be because "light bake" still leaves a shadow so doesnt work
An Ammo Box item would be awesome! It's options could include: Team Ammo Tier (Tier 1,2,3, all) EDIT: A really useful Tool Option we should be able to get is to <Spawn all Despawned objects> to help speed up respawns in Forge and fix any scripting errors we may make.
1) Texture/Bumpmap options alongside all the Colours. Just to add a little more variety to things! 2) Carve Option. Carving up an object which makes it into a custom Prefab. Prefabs should also be accessible in any map you make. 3) Water/Lava etc Volumes. Spartans should really be watertight by now. 4) Much larger variety of Basic building blocks. There really should be more blocks so Forgers don't have to use 2 blocks to do a 1 block job. 5)More nature objects! 6) Weather effects so we can use Fog etc alongside weather, instead of faking it. 7) Prefab Scripts to do the basic things like platforms, opening doors etc.
Here is an idea for a possible solution to giving blocks real textures. If we had the ability to give any block the projected terrain feature but cast it sideways instead of down for walls we could select from a few preset large textures and cast them seamlessly over any section of our maps. This may be an "easy" workaround instead of having 10 copies of every block for 10 different textures. Obviously this could be expanded in a number of ways to give tons of interesting options for block texture. Sorry if this has been said already, i had this discussion with a few people a while back and figured i should finally post it to see what everyone else thinks.
Did I say I wanted a fully forge-able lighting system? Oh, what I meant was, I want a dedicated lighting guy. You know, someone who has nothing better to do than configure the lighting in any map I make. Ya, that's what I meant. Holy bejesus
I mentioned this in the chat a while back, but I think that having a Sanghelios canvas would be pretty awesome. Could fulfill the need for a desert canvas, while also having sections of river and canyons, additions of Sanghelios flora and some ancient and modern Sangheili pieces (like the old pillars and statues from the campaign).
Having only recently started to mess around with the new Forge in Halo 5, there are three things I'm really missing; - The prefab structures, like the Ascension Sniper Tower. - Forge World, or if I can't have that the Forge Islands - A UNSC Air Vehicle, preferably the Hornet, or at least the Falcon. (The Phaeton is wildly OP in many situations, and the Banshee varies between OP and UP and is wonky with some map designs. The Hornet would be a good middle ground.)
