If any of our work or a fellow community member's work happens to be stolen and their is evidence of this we will blacklist the thieves. This is the official list of the dishonest people in the community. As such individuals on the blacklist are disqualified from all Forge Hub contests, events, and privileges. If you suspect a map has been stolen please post a detailed explanation in this thread along with proof. Re: Map Thieves This is a good idea. xXFreeekXx (I think that's the exact name) tryed to steal my Power Plant map. I don't have any proof right now though (he wasn't as stupid as that guy and didn't put up a you tube video about it).

Re: Map Thieves Yeah basically. The idiot that gave AZN this idea stole 'Vertigo' from here or bungie and then made a video of it claiming it was his. Also, there was a video of tunnel raid on youtube, idk if you care if it's there or not, I can't remember if he said it was his but he never mentioned FH.

I have used other peoples maps to create new ones, but I always acknowledge them if I think that the map is too similar to be my own. Of course I never remember their name, so I call them: "person, who's name I can't remember"
^lol yeah Anyways, while i think this is a cool idea, like someone said above, if your maps are not copyrighted, theyre fair game :/
it should be good practice to not claim something as your own though. If someone else made it and you modded it, at least give the creator the props for the idea. I guess it just comes down to people's moral standing.

oooh,Im having one of those headaches with pictures. What if,as a way to prove that the map is yours,spawn something that you havent used in your level like a street cone,and place it outside of the level?That way if you think someone stole your map you can say "How many street cones are on the map?".Since the person your asking wouldnt have seen the object they would say none and you can tell someone who DLed the map to get out of the level and check.If theres a street cone outside then everone will know that person stole your map.
that is what I do I have "key" items hidden in all my maps, nobody knows what the items are or where they are but me.
I should start putting these key items in my map. MAH IDEEZ R MINE!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll probably totally forget to do it, staring at the wondering map laid before me, made by me. Too bad I can't make a map like that...
