yo guys, I just posted this up on the Bungie forums:

    Here's what it says:

By day I'm a legal researcher and paralegal, helping homeowners avoid foreclosure and keep their family homes, for a title firm just south of Washington, DC. By night I'm either playing Halo 3 till 2 in the morning or cutting tracks for independent production documentaries under my band name Swimmers.

Three months ago I began a project to express Halo 3 (and the graphic novels) in a new way. I have now completed a very short album that tries to accomplish that.

Though the music already surrounding the Halo series is amazing, I have nonetheless attempted to create non-symphonic, organic pieces which express Halo in a tonality that serves my imagination.

The name Forerunner Synaesthesia comes, obviously, from the Forerunners and a biological phenomena in which humans are able to "confuse" or "mesh" different emotions (synaesthesia). All humans, it has been noted, are able to do this at birth. Anyways, I chose to record the music I "hear" when I see the stunning visuals and game-play Bungie has brought forth in Halo 3.

I decided at the last moment to make the title names vague, so that listeners can decide where in Halo I may have come up for the idea for that particular song.

I hope the community likes it! I've already begun recording my second Halo album. I would love it if people could point me to specific map areas or moments in the campaign that they visually enjoyed- I would love to record some things I may have missed!

    Here are the details:

01 The Prophet of Truth Decamp
    02 Covenant Polyphonic
    03 A Coat For November 2553
    04 New Mombasa Ruins
    05 Electronic Ghost of Valhalla
    06 Camp Green One Seventeen
    07 Windsurf Along Clear Landings
08 The Redshift and the Prophet
    09 Human Entry Vehicles (DEMO)
    10 Celestial Machines

Here is the album (artwork is included in the zipped file as well):
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

    and

    zSHARE - forerunner synaesthesia.swimmers 128.zip

(sorry I can't afford hosting, so if anyone wants it again, i'll upload it, no sweat)

    ENJOY!

    EDIT:

P.S. I'm upgrading to new pre-amps, so the quality on the second album should be far superior.

You should upload one of the better songs to Youtube to give people a taste of the music. I'm downloading it, but I have no idea what to expect.

man that's so awesome you liked it! which one did you like best?
i've been working on these songs for a month... i think i could have made some better though. for the next one, i want to make it far far far better than this one, with the overall sound and stuff.

got any suggestions for places in the campaign i could get some new ideas from?
