[FONT="]FLUSH [/FONT][FONT="]Video to come soon! Flush is a MLG map I made to satisfy the community. To satisfy their thirst for a fast pace game experience. [/FONT][FONT="]Flush is a completely symmetrical map with only 2 grenade launchers offered and a Custom power up for the middle. (custom power up is only offered for TS) I wanted a pure DMR battle experience.[/FONT] [FONT="]Red base and blue base are exactly the same on opposite ends of the map. [/FONT][FONT="]There are 2 health packs on this map also located near the flag cap on above each base. [/FONT][FONT="]This is will give you an idea of what the sides of the map look like and where grenade launcher is located with an immediate ramp up to the center for explosive results. [/FONT][FONT="]This is the total layout of the map from atop. Shaped like bubble gum short and sweet kind of like a MLG game. [/FONT][FONT="]This is what the bottom of each base is shaped like very simple and clean. [/FONT][FONT="]There are some convenient jump up locations that allow you to remain unseen momentarily while the mayhem occurs above. [/FONT][FONT="]I placed the map capture above for extra effort and some exciting game play results! Well i'm first to comment anyhow this map looks great and the aesthics are wonderful I think it would b fun to play on.
Thanks I only spent 13 hours on this map and I still have 7300 credits left over. I might revamp some things, Just minor like decorate the health packs and adjust walls to be more "flush". All that aside thought I am impressed with myself on this map as I felt challenged with the negative responses I had on the MLG forums. Some of those folks said I have no skill with forge and I also said I made an Invasion map for the forgetackular contest and they LOL'd at me. I merely replied to them and stated this: I don't see how an Invasion map is any less significant then a MLG map. They are both forged to be fun and enjoyed maps. So I challenged myself to use only pieces approved by MLG for the map to reduce frame rate lag. Also to accomplish the goal of making a MLG map within a DAY of posting a so called horrible map that I spent longer on and still think the game play is more fun then this. However I am proud of my New creation "Flush" it is beast. I always feel excited to test Jump ups with my bumper jumber set up. Thanks for the post and peace, Begformymercy
It was your supreme lack of understanding that left a horrible impression on MLG pro. @Bold: Invasion maps are COMPLETELY insignificant when it comes to MLG. There is no MLG invasion. You don't see how because you are blind as a bat. Your previous map was built in numerous ways that would make mlg gametypes work very poorly. MLG is about playing games with maximum competitive merit. When there is giant see-through pieces of glass, areas that are severy overpowered, and a supreme lack of flow, games are simply too unbalanced to slow. The map you released would have gone better in the 'competitive' section on forgehub. And the talk about screenlag, this is the backbone of EVERY MAP (except aesthetic maps). Screenlaggy maps are typically unbearable to play. As for this map, you have gotten a better taste of what MLG maps are like: Fast-paced, balanced, good flow, not too big. But there are some issues with it. I left feedback on MLG pro for you to see. And please, don't judge us at MLG pro. We simply judge maps for the style it is intended for, which you released as MLG. Just because you can forge an invasion by no means proves that you can forge an equally good MLG map. Conversely, there are alot of us who can't forge very good invasion maps. This is what divides Forgehub and MLGpro.
Thanks So in no way am I understanding the difference from an Invasion map which clearly took more time and dedication then this MLG map I spent 13 hours on. Hmmm Thanks for your Comment point taken, I think MLG maps seem easy to me that is why I pushed one out this fast. You mad bro? I was not impressed at the friendliness of MLGpro. However I am a beast forger and will prove it and will stick to frame rate as the most important issue. But I saw no respect to forge what so ever in MLG pro where people said I have no talent. All I said was Invasion maps are for the casual/competitive section for forgehub, and mlg maps for the mlg section for forgehub or mlgpro. @Bold: Now this is extremely arrogant. You think mlg maps are easy to make? Sure. Can you make a map that supports 1 or 2 additional gametypes other than slayer? A map that plays objective gametypes better than other maps? Can you come up with an original layout that is recognized for MLG circuit potential? If you seriously want to prove yourself, participate in the MLG Map Submissions The last submission is over with, but when a new one comes, I would like you to create a map and submit it. You say you get no respect from mlgpro and that you are a "beast forger," but for one, you have only encountered a few people from mlgpro, and your arrogance might be proven a downfall. I am not saying that you won't make a good submission, I am simply challenging you do make a submission and let your next map do the talking. Making a new and strong public impression without coming out as any kind of asshole will earn you some respect. Also, getting involved with testing people's maps and even letting us test your maps will earn respect as well. The few forgers who were jerks on your first post don't speak for the entire community. Update 1.1 I know we will be great friends but probably later, I got to get to know you more. These are what were updated in the map already. Changed the look of each base with minimal cover. Moved health pack with a decoration. Moved the walls back further to provide for more room. Those changes were made to rationally make the map have more flow so the game can fly as fast as possible the way MLG was meant to be played. Thanks for considerate comments and suggestions. I enjoy the look of this map it has a very mlg styled design to it, its also quite similiar to a zealot/heretic mix which I like. I like that you added the little jump ups and hiding places within the map but im not sure if id leave the hiding places as it seems people will always take advantage of them or simply camp there the whole game during matchmaking. I myself would like to see more projects come from you as I think you have much potential when it comes to being able to forge something unique. Generally the more experienced MLG players, forum goers are very kind but there are some "noobs" that go around bashing maps to get off and start drama, but thats life. Overall im impressed by this project and will give it a download myself, if you need help testing or new ideas the GT: SilentRaine , I however would add a small amount of cover to the middle platform area since it's a dmr styled map even if your going for fast paced, very quick deaths are always a negative if u want a challenge.
Download updated Exaltation ( AKA Flush 2.0 ) Bungie.net : Halo Reach : File Details I have made an update to the map and changed the name to Exaltation also. Expanded the walls farther apart on the sides and placed a ramp up so people are not disadvantaged at all on the sides and took out both grenade launchers and places plasma pistols in its place. Lowered all walls so you can get player orientation from forge world and added a 1x1 tall and thin for cover for health pack at each base. That spot is really for CTF, If someone hides then that is alright with me because that means my team will 4v3 and still win. But that is in opinion this map is very easy to show who has the better team. It is really hard to show the depth of the middle but there is plenty of cover. If you want an argument from this, play countdown and then play this. Tell me if you want it empty.... Thank you for your post, Begformymercy
