[vimeo]2376525[/vimeo] I found this a few days ago, but it didn't really interest me because I don't have a Mac. Nevertheless, I decided to try run it on one of my school's Macs. It was ****ing orgasmic. It works by using the webcam built into pretty much every Mac these days. It opens up into a new window, although you can zoom in more or put it in fullscreen display. The window shows the image captured by the camera in the background. Then, it shows your music in the familiar Cover Flow format, which you can either move thrugh quickly by waving your hand in the air to 'slic.' through, or use the arrows to move more precisely. You can also start and stop the music. It's a little bit like using the PS2 Eyetoy game. You have to move somewhat slowly in order not to set off the sensitive commands, but it's well worth it to be able to simply wave your hand to cut through your tracks. I'd suggest that you only use this in a dark-ish room, as bright settings often tripped up the software. Also, I had been using it in a more social environment, and there were tons of people passing behind me that set it off, much to my irritation. I wished there was a configuration to lower the sensitivity; alas, I could not find any. However, I would definitely recommend downloading it. It's free, and only 0.7 MB. I showed this to many of my friends and teachers, and they all wanted a copy of it immediately.
Hmm, I saw this on Engadget recently, or it might have been Gizmodo, I can't remember. Might download this to use on my Macbook and then later put on my iMac, not sure though :/ I will think about it Meh, I'll download it on my girlfriend's Macbook now, see how it is and then see if I want to bother on the others. Thanks for reminding me about this.
