Brief Description: Avoid the hole(s) in the floor at all costs. How to Play: Close your party, assign one player to be on the blue team and the rest of the players to be on the red team. The blue guy/girl is the "floormaster." The red guys/girls are the helpless adventurers trapped in an enclosed area with a shifting floor. They must try to survive for 3 minutes. The floormaster controls the hole, and must use it to make the adventurers fall to their untimely deaths. When the game is over, have the last man standing from the previous game, or someone who hasn't gotten the chance, turn to blue and be the floormaster. YouTube - Halo: Reach Mini-Game: Floormaster‏ How it works for those of you who still don't know how the whole "deleting" objects in-game works: Spoiler The floormaster (blue person) spawns next to an armor ability set to blue team and labeled "hb_goal" with a shape of a box with a height and width and length large enough to come into contact with the blocks high above him. The blocks high above him are each labeled "skeeball_object." When the "hb_goal" comes into contact with the "skeeball_objects," the "skeeball_objects" disappear. The blocks are set to respawn at 1 second.
This is ingenious, I commend you for pulling this off I tried to make this game for hours with no success. Im so happy to see that someone was finally able to make this gametype, you have more talent than me.
Holy Mother Ballsack! Floormaster - saved to TGIF playlist. i love it, gonna check out this deleting thing cuz it seems like an amazing concept btw, dino i love you...
OMG i came up with the same idea HAXOR! Just kidding i did come up with an idea like this but i had no idea how to make it work, well done on getting it to work
Wow that is so amazing that everyone (including me!) had the same idea, but you beat us to it. Nether mind, awsome game, well done.
sigh...I had this same idea (inspiration from Destructaur), but my xbox broke and I haven't been able to do anything. Oh well, perhaps I could make a spin-off idea of it. Congrats on beating everyone else to the punch. EDIT: I knew I recognized your title image from somewhere. Zelda Wind Waker. Nice.
mybrainisfullof****.jpg Wow. This is an ingenious concept, I love it. I wish I could firgure out the Insane gametype, but for now, this will have to do. Methinks this could be the next iteration of Hobo Heights, no????
****. Guess what? There's a big problem that I overlooked. Apparently if you don't move at all, you'll just float, so I guess there will just have to be an honor rule that the humans have to move.
oh so you already figured out the whole not moving thing huh? Thats exactly what i was going to post right now. I found a solution though. If you give everbody DMRs, you can shoot the floating guy and he will fall. Another problem is that i was able to stand at the corner of 4 squares at once and i couldnt fall. Not exactly sure how to fix this one. Maybe make the hill a bit wider to take out four squares at once. Or possibly re do the floor with smaller squares. Oh and this game is awesome by the way
Man this game looks really unique and fun. I could never seem to use the insane gametypes properly but it looks like you did it just fine. As for the bugs yeah you could always make the blocks smaller and make another version, or put soft killzones about.
When I am able, I will edit the map and put in a dmr for the blue guy, and possibly increase the width of the hb_goal to solve those problems. Thanks for the feedback. Or maybe I should give the floormaster a spartan laser, and it'd be a little more like Hobo Heights.
its actually really hard to hit them because they are directly above you. you should stick to the dmr. And the cool thing about that is, other red people can shoot the "cheater" and then he'll fall. Because if you think about it its not like you are all trying to help each other. you just want to be the last man
What if a bunch of random street cones fly all over with cannons ? no but really, this game is genius. how you figured out the labels are beyond me.
lol that would be too insane. and i wouldn't want the cones to random fall down and kill the blue guy on the bottom. i think the way i have it as it is now is okay. i set the blocks to respawn at 2 secs as opposed to how it was before at 1 sec and it really isn't too hard to shoot them with the laser when their directly above you. as far as originality goes, there's really nothing original about this. it's a hell of a lot like hobo heights except of course this time around the laser isn't what destroys the platforms.
only thing i would have changed is; smaller tiles (more obviously) but make re spawn 5-10 secs it'd be interesting to chase someone with the deletions blocking his/her escape. other than that im lovin it!
