Hey guys, i wanted to know what you guys thought of my first sig! Here it is - Hey, i know it has no border, but i couldnt seem to get it to work. And Please comment! And also, can someone tell me how to make wisps? the other guide is confusing, i dont know what selection tool to use for one thing. Thanks!
Your render is really sloppy as you can see the white around the elite. The background also doesn't go good with the render or text. Im sorry, but I believe you should make another.
i noticed the problem with the render, i did something wrong and i just remembered what i did. Also, i dont care that i should make another because this is my first lol, of course its gonna be crap =P
? how am i a loser... i have high standards for myself, i just knew it looked bad and i just wanted to know what other people thought... - rep because im a loser for knowing im a bad sig maker =/
the background is just some grundge brushes I know cause I have them... it could also use some blurring using the guassian blur filter at about 18 I think. also if your using gimp just select all then go to edit and select stroke selection to get a boreder I usually put it at about 6 but I wouldn't go over about 8... another thing is use a render website like this one Planet Renders v3 you have to make an account but no more white lines...also be sure to right click save picture as on this website. try getting everything to blend better using the blurr effects multipul layers and so on. and just keep practicing and use some tutorials.. Spoiler I'll just give it a 2/5 but its your first don't feel bad keep trying
Okay... A couple things. First I'm guessing you cut out the render so I'm not gonna comment on that but you should set up an account on Planetrenders.net and just get ur renders from there. Also since it confused me at first I'll mention it. When u r downloading a render click it in the main page and a big one will pop up in a new window. Then right click and save picture as a .png. Backgrounds don't have to consist of brushes!!!!!!! C4d's are great and can be found at Planetrenders also. They are really good and you should try some tuts with them. Also as far as your pen tool problem... Click the pen tool and go to path selection (top right) and then click where you want it to start. Now click some where else and while still holding down the right clicker drag it until you get the curve you want. Do that until you get a shape you want (Don't connect the path) then go and select ur brush (5-9pxl hard or soft) and then go back to the pen tool and right click somewhere on ur path and go to stroke path. Check the Stimulate Pressure box and then hit okay. That will give you the main part but I like to right click the layer in the layer panel and go to blending options and put on inner and outer glow and then mess around with the settings until it looks good. Those are my words of wisdom, try an ALL DEFAULT signature, C4D is allowed (in my book) but no brushes they ruin the entire signature, unless they are default brushes, IMO the brushes you download from the internet suck, so if you learn that defaults can make anything you will get used to it and never even download a C4D one day, I was like that before, right now I am trying to be as good as I used to be . Keep being persistent you will be amazing soon.

Hey Hells... I don't think he gets that he needs to use defaults... Maybe saying it a couple more times will get the point across =). Also Zeus... Hells is absolutely right you should stick to defaults and the best way to get a grungy feel is to use smudging... Go to my DBZ tut thread and you will see a really good way to smudge that works for grunge really well.
I have asked this so many times what are defaults are they like stocks or just some thing completely different
The white around the Elite looks a bit poor but it looks great for your first sig, and you should maybe change the color of the background.
