This year in school I chose to take Intro to Art, I've liked it overall, yet never really tried to put emphasis in any of my work up until this project, where I realized that I actually have a little talent, and could make something look good if I put the effort and work into it. Thus, I tried hard and it proved to work enough to get my work into the glass case in the main entrance of my school.

So a while back I made a thread in the gna for suggestions of whom to draw, I wound up choosing Isabel Lucas. The picture below is the actual black and white photo. This was my reference photo.

And here is my drawing of it:

Also here's some of the other pieces done by other students that are in the same glass case as mine(mine is on the far right)

her hand kind of seems nonexsistent, it seems like the arm kind of just keeps getting skinnier, and i noticed her right shoulder, comes down at more of a flat angle while you have it at a much more distinguished angle. YOu really catpure the face well though, and the hair is very nicely done

ironically it's the first time you haven't done that to someone.

in the beginning i thought the first picture was your drawing for a split second and shat half a brick. then realized it wasn't... its still great, and i applaud your good sir.
but yes... you ever hear of defining lines? if not let me know... pretty self explanatory, anyways...you should add some on the hands

I'd say you did a very good job on drawing it. I think you captured the face well and I love how the hair looks. As with what Just Defy said, if you use some defining lines on the fingers they would look much better than what they do now.

It's pretty good, just the eyes and nose could be scaled down a bit.

I gotta say it looks kinda manly and the arms are very anorexic. I think that's just a problem with scale tbh. I really like the hair tough, you got that pretty much spot on. Good first try :)

It seems to me that the cheeks could have used a little more shading to bring up the realism. Also, I think the nose looks a little to broad to be a girls nose. Thin it out some. Other than that, it looks really, really good.

Sorry I didn't get to comment back earlier, but anyways thanks guys for all the suggestions, compliments, and criticism. I appreciate it and I believe I'll be getting this back sometime this week. On the other hand it's too bad my project I just got done with will be put in the same glass case. It's not a bad thing but I won't get that project back for another month or so.
