Theres too much empty space over to the right. I know what stock you used, I made a signature with this stock as well. I think this is pretty decent sig, very good for your first photoshop sig. Nice job

Thanks, i cant find a good C4D for my life. I hope Hells can teach me how he makes his homemade effects. He wasnt on so i was on my own doing this.

Edit: I realized a little thing in the corner of the picture, ill edit the op with the fixed version.

Looks very nice for your first sig in photoshop.

This is how I add a border.

Create a new layer - Go to Image > Apply Image - Then go to Edit > Stroke - then change the color and pick your pixel size.

For Borders I flatten the image and copy it then go to file new. I change the pixel sizes to the size of the border on all sides. Control Paste. Or I do what laxer said. Also, Hells doesn't usually use c4ds in his sigs, he told me that he really experiments with distortions to find really cool effects. Something I have been doing lately.

I remember my first Photoshop sig ehhh. This is great for your first one though. Text is to faint though.

And here's how I make my widescreen borders:
    1. Layer>New Layer
    2. Take out the rectangular box tool.
    3. Make a rectangle at the top of your sig all the way from left to right.
    4. Don't make it to tall though.
    5. Then, go to Edit>Fill With black.
    6. Layer>New Layer
    7. Drag the rectangular box down to the bottom of the sig, make sure it crosses all the way from left to right.
    8. Edit>Fill with black.
    9. Right click on that layer and click merge down.

Than you should have a nice black wide screen border, which IMO, are the best looking, and would look really nice on your new sig.

Wouldnt that create an uneven border?

Just use stroke. Or the thing I mentioned at the top.

Laxer's method for adding a border is ok, but the easiest way is to make a new Layer, then press Ctrl-A, then go to Select>Border and type the width of the border that you want, then press Ok, then press Alt-Backspace to fill the selection with your current foreground color. If you want to get rid of part of the border, grab the Marquee tool before you fill the selection, and Alt-Click and drag a selection over the parts that you don't want, then fill the selection. I do not reccomend using EGP's method, because you really never want to flatten your image under any circumstances, let alone paste the flattened image into a new document to add a border.

    As for regular CnC,

I think that the focal should be a bit more sharp. It blends almost too well with the background. The text is also a bit too hard to read. The colors are very nice, and the depth is quite good. This is a very good first Photoshop sig. I would like to see some more effects, but you really don't need to worry about that too much as this is your first time using Photoshop.

    Overall, a very good sig.

Make a new layer. Use the rectangular marquee tool, make it how you want it from side to side or top to bottom. Then, fill it with whatever color you want. Then, duplicate the layer and drag the copy down to the bottom or to the opposite side (depending on whether you're making vertical or horizontal borders) until it snaps into place. Then you can either leave the border layers separate or, as I usually do, flatten the Border Copy layer into the Border layer. (DO NOT FLATTEN INTO THE SIGNATURE ITSELF)

No, on the new layer you drag the rectangle down to the bottom, not create a new one.
It's what I do and it is always even.

Yes I understand. I used the same canvas size I believe and when I tried sharpening that focal it got too pixely so I just blurred around it instead.

Well, for a first in PS, its great, well done! One thing, it's just a little too mono-tone.

BTW, for borders i use the rectangular marquee tool to select the whole canvas 'cept where i want the border, right click>select inverse and then fill with colour.
