    Hey guys,
Just wanted everyone who's interested to know I've come up with a unique minigame gametype. This post is an explanation and sanity check so anyone who's interested in it can create their own version!

Fireteam Slayer consists of up to five players on a team, each with unique weapons, abilities, and stats. The version I'm creating consists of:
    The Commander
    The Deadeye
    The Slasher
    The Pilot
    The Heavy
(Last three are names in progress).

The unique stats of each class must be handled in Minigame options.
Unfortunately, this does not allow for changing their weapons. So to implement each class, here's what to do.

Create a room for your class and fill it with a single boundary. On player exit, this boundary changes the player's traits to one of the four setups (or not at all), the key thing in my traits being no more weapon pickup. There are several reasons behind this, the main being forcing you to fill your role. Leaving should also turn on a power channel.

Create a door to this room. Upon entering the room, spawn the door behind you, shutting down the possibility of multiple of the same class on a team.

Create teleporters leaving this room. The main (visible) teleporter brings you to your squad main spawn(s). There should also be an invisible teleporter for each other team member.

Create a class weapon and give it a label. This label is essential. Give the weapon rapid despawn times so it immediately reappears in its place after your death. When it despawns, have it turn off the power channel that was turned on by your room boundary.

Create a teleporter receiver that follows your labeled weapon on a timer.

Create switches tied to the power channels of the other rooms that turn on the teleporter nodes to those corresponding teleporters.

Essentially, what is created is this:
No one has a class at the start.
When you go in a weapon room, you're the only one that can be that class for the time being.
Pick up your class weapons and whatnot.
When you leave, a teleporter will begin to follow you around and your class traits will activate.
Switches will spawn in your teammates rooms that will allow them to "spawn" on you by teleporting to you.
When you die, your teleporter receiver and switch will deactivate, the door to your class will open.
When you respawn, your class will be removed allowing you to pick up weapons again.

For this reason there are max 4 or 5 classes. The unique trait of the commander in my example is that he can pick up battlefield weapons (provided there are any) (he may get other unique traits).

I'm in the process of building prefabs that will allow you to simply place starting zones A and B in a map for 5v5 Fireteam Slayer, as well as my current gametype.

I'm currently open to suggestions on ideas anyone has to improve the gametype! Please post here.
