"Some believe the Forerunners built this place just to watch crazy people shoot each other." Built for Team Slayer and six to eight players in mind, but playing with as low as two people is possible. Hello everyone, new here to this community. Anyway, I would just like to just jump right into the community and play all your great maps and give feedback to help you all! But as I have no experience with professional-level forging, I don't think I'd be able to give actual good constructive feedback, at least not of the quality you'd all like. So instead, I'd like to first test myself for you on how good or bad I actually am. I made a very standard map. Nothing too fancy at all, but hopefully it will catch your eye. This is the overview of the map, as you can see it is relatively small compared to most maps. It is also very open, so range, perspective, higher ground, and cover are very important. Without a doubt, it is also asymmetrical, so sorry to all symmetrical lovers, but parallel design was not on my mind. As you can see, I made this with the philosophy of of minimal structures. Artificial shapes were low in amount compared to most of what I've seen on this community so far (by lurking). Aside from that, rockets are near the very center of the map, but it is also the most open area! Be sure to have support when getting it, just rushing toward it, one by one, won't do! It's all a balance of nature and gameplay here. I built it to have a very pleasing aesthetic feel while still introducing creative gameplay movement and actions. The main starting spawn for Red Team is on the left with the Mongooses and Ghost. I specifically built this to be relatively enclosed. I wanted a main spawn trap, but don't worry! The other team really has to earn it! Besides, their are more than a dozen other spawns in other parts of the map for Red to safely spawn in (hopefully, I haven't been able to get anyone to test this though). Another overview, but this one shows the elevations. almost all the higher areas are on the walls of the map. With them, you get a very good view of the whole area, essentially making any ranged weapon like DMRs and Needle Rifles a semi-power weapon, so you may want to rush for them once you know where they spawn. This one I'd also like to test out, as they may actually be more powerful than I wanted. And yes, I know it looks horrible from outside, but you won't ever know that while playing inside it Also, I recommend not Jump Jetting over to take a peek. The Sniper spawns on the bridge on the left and it is very deadly on this map, but also very risky, as it also has no cover from counter fire, so I'd suggest going to the sniper nest further at the end of the bridge near the teleporter. Turrets also are positioned to be very deadly to all it sees (except for the edges of the map), yet also in relatively self-guarded by it's covered position. This structure contains the Grenade Launcher, and it has full ammo to spare, so it is a power weapon, but only to those that can use it right! I know I can't aim worth crap with it! I don't think of this as professional, but I did work on this for a long time, so I'd like to at least try to entire this in the Forgetacular Contest, but I dont' have any testers, so to anyone that's willing please contact me on my Xbox Live Account. And yes, that is me spawning in pictures two and three.... If there are any bugs, glitches, frighteningly abusive ways to use the map as unintended or whatever else, please tell me! And please, I implore you all to be as hard on me as possible in critiquing this. Don't worry, I'm used to my ego being dropped, although it was never too high to begin with....
