    Map Title: Field 7
    Field 7 is a map variant that fully utilizes the cover system. Barrels and cars fill this map that need to be used for cover to succeed.

    Description:
    I always wanted to play a game where cover was a necessity. There were some gametypes and maps that exclaimed that cover needed to be used such as paintball, however, cover wasn't needed. Anybody could've just ran around the map, meleeing down everything in sight and still do very well in the game.

    So since there wasn't a map that fully utilized the cover system, I decided to create that map myself. Field 7 is a map where standing in the open won't get you any kills, but death itself.

    Field 7 isn't also one of those maps where a person can just camp behind the best cover. There isn't a cover that is considered superior among all others. Each piece of cover has its advantage and weakness. For example, there's cover that offers a good line-of-sight on the other team, however it can be destroyed. There's some cover that has good defense against left side, however is vulnerable to the right side.

    To promote movement, I gave players limited ammo on their Battle Rifle and Assault Rifle. Ammo runs by fast on this gametype, and to obtain more ammo, they must move to the next cover. These weapons take a while to respawn and they don't spawn in the beginning, so players sometimes need to move across the whole map just to get one clip of weapon ammo. A deployable cover and two grenades also respawn 60 seconds after the match started, however they are in a dangerous area, where the enemy team can take you out easily with a few well-placed BR shots.

    There are two sides on this map, each placed with cover, with a fence wall seperating the two sides. Gunfire can go through these fence walls, however players cannot. So this prevents players from running around the whole map or meleeing.

    Gametype Description:

    Damage modifier has been increased to 150%.
    Shield Resistance has been increased to 150%.
    Shields recharge 50% slower.
    Players do not spawn with grenades.
    Players have ONE LIFE!
    Players can run at 125% speed.
    Players have 200% gravity.
    Vehicles cannot at all be used.

    i was going to make a map with a similar idea looks really good but to make the map better since there is 200% percent gravity you should of just made the wall seperating the two sides only one wall high allowing people to place gernades easier

    That's what I originally did, however, there's a friend of mine who always tries to find something wrong with a map. Even though players had 200% gravity, he managed to get over the wall using a deployable cover. So I made it higher to prevent that and it also makes it more challenging to throw grenades. Grenades aren't really used to kill players, it's to serve the purpose of blowing away some cover.

    Only thing i dont like is that bid fence wall, it just seems like it would get annoying fighting through the fence. Other than that really all this map need is some different levels of height and more scenery.

    I wanted to create a map where cover MUST be used. Without the big fence wall, it's the same game as any other where cover doesn't need to be used, involving melees, grenades, and jumping. It's the game of first shot wins. When players try to hide behind a crate to recharge their shields, they just get killed because the enemy followed him to that crate.

    In a real life firefight, people will hide behind cover and shoot from a distance, not go up to somebody and punch his stomach (well, most of the time)

    Also, it is very fun with the fence wall. I played a 3 v 3 match with some friends, and they thought it was unique and fun. There aren't very many games that allow you to fight from a distance using cover with a restriction as to how close you can get to an enemy.

    Tell me how it works out. I haven't tried it on swat so I dunno whether or not this map is good for that gametype.
