Hmmm, hard choices to pick. Really hard choices. Okay, I think I have some. Tetradymite by AceOfSpades0707 and Cerberus Beast This map was really fun for BTB, and that was how it should be too. Very little do I see an asymmetric map designed for BTB that works nearly as well as one of bungie's own. The structures in the map are aesthetically pleasing and I believe it turned out well. The weapons are placed strategically and the vehicles work well to get around while not completely dominating in them. Overall, a very fairly balanced competitive map. The Asylum V2 by patt06snipe Based off of Master Debayter's famous Last Day Judgement map, this infection map plays out very similarly to **** Zombies. While Master Debayter's doesn't work out quite as well due to the fact that a V2 is still in the works, this map is finished and deserves a look. It uses strategic placement of teleporters so the zombies can randomly get across the map to attack the humans, and from just the overall feel of the map down to the random weapon box designed by Rivalmass, this map is both aesthetically pleasing and fun to play with big groups of friends. One of my favorite infection maps. EDIT: I'm not sure if this is how you want us presenting maps or if I did this correctly, but anyways, I hope I nominated these correctly.
I haven't played many new maps because of my RRoD. Here are some of my faves: MLG Encephal by Transactionzero It is has a pretty traditional feel with some new twists. Great weapon set, layout, and gameplay. MLG Requiem by Insane54 and Sir Toppum Hat 1 It's a very fun MLG map with great new features. Archaic by HezbollaHector and goatnuts420 Probably the best sky box map I've seen. Great layout. Great Aesthetics. Just great.
I second MLG Requiem v2. It's my favorite custom-made MLG map to date with great forging and design. The center piece and teleporters are new features I haven't seen anywhere else.
I'll put another vote towards Archaic. Very smooth and lots of fun. I would also like to nominate Exodus. Nice aesthetics and gameplay.
Ever since we stop featuring the aesthetic and mini-games together we have only been getting pure competitive play along with the stock Halo gametypes. I would like to nominate the map Blast Off! and the gametype that goes with it Fly High. This game is so refreshing when you're playing, the fun factor and competitive gameplay can arouse any kind of gamer. I suggest you take a look at this jewel and play a few rounds of it. The innovation and the gameplay ties this game together making it a game you won't forget. To take a look at it for yourself go the ForgeHub thread I've given below and if my mini-paragraph striked a little rambunctiousness in you I've provided a link straight to the map and gametype at Bungie. Blast Off's ForgeHub thread or Download Blast Off right from Bungie here
i nominate Nacht Der Untoten because ive seen that everybody loves this map that has played it, it is one of the best remakes of Nacht Der Untoten I have seen on forgehub, so i think it deserves to win
I'm nominating the amazing map Phobia, by H3C x Nevz. Not only are the structures and aesthetics great, the gameplay is excellent, with many lines of sight resulting in both long range and close quarters battles between players. This map is very deserving of a feature, and I hope it makes it into the Doubles playlist, also. (Hint, submit to Atlas, Nevz )
I nominate: Lotus by Aimless Ant The City L4D by Something. Blast Off!! by Ell3ment Equinox by iTz Flair
