FFA Frontier v3 There has been in history a FFA Frontier and FFA Frontier v2. Well, after considering all of the commotion over the radio antennae, I vowed to fix the map up. It wasn't until Dirt Jockey informed me I was a forge fool for numbering respawn areas that I realized the true gameplay problem had a solution. I used the extra pieces from deleting the respawn areas to teleporter brace the antennae. I now present you with FFA Frontier v3. The map, Frontier, was named that because it is a mix between a natural cave environment and a man-made building environment. The idea was to create a microcosm of what a violent Southern Frontier would be like in history. Just think of New Mexico in the 1800's. The mix of natural and man-made themes is a recurring aspect to my maps, for everyone who saw The Wild (check out my sig...) This is the first map I made since I learned ghost-merging. Frontier is an asymmetrical map using up about 1/7 of the mid level of Sandbox. It is set up to work for all Free For All gametypes (hence the FFA in the name.) It is built right on the border where the canvas changes from a hard flat stone ground to a sandy uneven ground. Wow. A hidden gem. when i first saw the overview i thought it would be small and ****. but i scrolled down and this map looks amazing. i'm downloading right now. although it does look escapable. i'll get some pictures up soon enough to show you where.
I like the idea sort of like an excavasion map. From the first pic.. the map looks REALLY small, but I guess its actually bigger then I expected xp... It sorta looks escapable.. where you can just jump on some pillars then grenade jump off...pic #7
I love the idea of a mixed building environment built into the hillside. It takes alot for me to compare a map to Awesome Town but this is definatly worth it.
Thank you all for the comments! As for the question of escaping, I can assure you that you will not escape by accident- it is impossible. It would take precision with grenade jumping or a hidden tactics teammate. Remember though that this is a Free For All map. If you escape, with the exception of oddball, you lose. I have tested this map and no one has ever escaped since I braced the radio antennae.Thank you for the concern though.
