No word on Anchor 9 for default maps? I heard Ponytar put up a version of it but it isn't on his FS now and the new search on MLG.com is pitiful, so I haven't even checked it out, let alone know how far along that puts it for getting in to v3.

I got Anchor 9.09 on my hard drive. I can put it up for you if ya want it sometime tomorrow.
As far as word on it... Nothing yet. I'm all for it, but the camp ability of the bases is a bit deterring.
Just keep watching the twitter and checking Pony's and KC's recent games on Bungie, that's all I can really offer.
Btw, did you see the bit on Sundance's twitter about AA's coming back like Hologram and AL? I haven't heard a peep on any of it other than there's debate on having sprint off of spawn.

Yeah man that'd be great if you get a moment. True enough on the A9 bases, but hey it's still gotta be better than Reflection if you ask me.

Yeah, will do I guess, thanks for the tidbits though man.

I'm pretty sure that was just Sundance joking around, could be wrong though.

At least 95% of the people don't make decent arguments about anything on those forums... and anyone that did was just repeating one decent argument. I don't sit there and dwell on whatever game mechanic a game uses to simulate recoil... and have it ruin my entire game experience. BR didn't punish spammers at all in Halo 3, DMR has bloom to punish spammers... and now people cry it's not enough or not the right way to do it? Seriously, most of these kids posting in Bloom and Armor Lock threads should start their own soap opera.

Reach also introduced effective weapon ranges. If you're losing to players you consider "noobs", then step out of the weapons effective spam range. To me, the only noob is the one trying to outnoob a "noob" at their own game. A noob at least knows his weakness at precision aiming and addresses it by decreasing his range to his target to increase his own effectiveness. Bloom may cater to the noob in the short to mid range, but it also caters to those more skilled in the mid to long range.

Armor Lock, while I agree frosting is an issue when you compare the other armor abilities... it's not as game breaking as everyone else says it is. I hear so many kids crying because it slows the game down and delays their untimely demise... but same can be said with every other ability. Armor Lock limits that person to playing a 2-dimensional game on a 3 dimensional playing field that's the tradeoff for using it. It also works against them as much as it works for them.

Neither one of those issues are anywhere as bad as everyone is making them out to be. It's a ****ing video game for chrissakes. There is no such thing as a professional video game player... no matter what anyone says. It's an oxymoron to be a professional at something that is purely recreational. If those things are keeping people from having fun, then they need to pull the DMR out of their ass and deflate that ego.

As the saying goes, never argue with an idiot... they'll beat you with experience. Same goes for trying to outspam a spammer.

Last time I checked, creating alternate spawn points for Phase 1... can be addressed by Bungie. They can also create an Invasion only playlist to keep people from quitting because they only wanted Invasion Slayer. That alone would reduce quitting significantly.

While they can't specifically do something about the players themselves, they could change the team pairing criteria based on objectives completed. Stick all the people that complete zero objectives and only go for kills in one game together... I bet they'll either stop playing Invasion for kills because they'll only have one phase to kill people in... or they start playing to complete objectives.

I had 2-6 players going into Invasion games during the Beta, but they all got discourages when our party kept getting separated. They've all stopped playing, unfortunately. When I do go into the playlist, I do go alone. It's the risk I take... but that's why I stopped taking the risk.

I was never much of a Team Snipers/MLG/Arena kind of guy. Way too "intense".

SWAT, Objective, and Big Team are fun with my friends. Very enjoyable for casual play.

Solo, I usually go for Firefight but I just recently fell in love with Multiteam.
